June 27 2005, Monday
It was a slow day. There wasn’t very much to do but I sorted through a whole cabinet of magazines then I went on the computer and looked up an updated food guide pyramid. I ate lunch at the hospital cafeteria.
June 28 2005, Tuesday
It was a faster day. I used the copy machine, sent mail to the mailroom, labeled folders, refilled brochure racks, and reorganized the pamphlet room racks. I ate lunch in the hospital cafeteria. I also went on the computer and made a chart and put what number slot each pamphlet was in.
June 29 2005, Wednesday
It was a slow morning. Hardly anyone gets here till 8:30 I am SMOGing the pamphlets with reading grade levels and then recording it on the computer. It took a long time to do. I ate lunch at my desk and still doing pamphlets and recording them into the computer. I photo copied 70 packets then delivered them to the mailroom and put them in everyone’s box. I also went and changed the mouse pads on the lobby computers over by the gift shop. I looked through some of the codebooks.
June 30 2005, Thursday
I used the scanner all morning. I made up 4 big books for the class then road up and down in all of the elevators (every single one) to each floor and took down germ posters. Then I put blue paper on the tables in the Mt. Rooms and filed away some more papers.
July 5 2005, Tuesday
I got the mail, copied some papers ate, lunch at my desk, answered the phone, delivered mail, worked on a big project (Display Case in the Pharmacy)
July 6 2005, Wednesday
Got the mail, I used the copy machine and made some copies of books, delivered mail and got mail again ate lunch and then copied some more.
July 7 2005, Thursday
I got the mail and delivered it, I highlighted and corrected misspelling words and I made more copies of books over and over all day some where between that I ate lunch.
July 11 2005, Monday
I brought the mail down to the mailroom, worked on another display case at the end of the skywalk, copied some papers, ate lunch then finished the display case.
July 12 2005, Tuesday
I went down to get the mail and I also brought some mail down and delivered it to the mailroom. I made some copies of pamphlets, then brought them to the mailroom, ate lunch, At 1:00 I went down to Diabetes Education to learn more about diabetes. I learned about the insulin pump that you put in your arm for two months and then change it every two months and it automatically gives you your insulin as needed, the insulin pen its like a syringe but it is easy to use for the elderly, the difference between the insulin and the pills. I also learned about portion of food that a diabetic is supposed to consume and the snack portion. I learned how the liver and kidneys are suppose to function in a diabetic, and I also learned to be a diabetes educator you have to go to Detroit, Minneapolis, or some where else to take a 4 hour test then if you pass you have to renew your certificate every 5 years. I also folded 500 Pamphlets GRRRRRRR! That’s what I call torture
July 13 2005, Wednesday
I went down to the mail room, copied I big book but made 3 of them and 3 hole punched each one to make a big book, I reorganized the movies, ate lunch, after lunch I went on a tour of the hospital all afternoon. We went to many different departments, ICU, Psych, ER, Pediatrics, ECT. It was really fun and I learned a lot from it. We also watched a movie by Johnson & Johnson called We Dare To Care it was really interesting.
July 14 2005, Thursday
It is a slow morning I cant alphebeticalize the movies till Linda gets here. I checked the mail I copied some papers and ate lunch I also made raffle ticket buckets and put signs up around the hospital.
July 18 2005, Monday
I reorganized the movies made labels for them and reput them on the shelf in alphabetical order I ate lunch I went to conference room 7 on the 4th floor and got some grief packets for Linda and then I went to the pamphlet room and got some pamphlets. I also sent a movie to nuclear med in the air tube.
July 19 2005, Tuesday
I went to the pamphlet room and finished getting the pamphlets that Linda needs so she can send them out to who ever they need to go to. I went to the cancer room this morning to find some cancer books that people ordered and it is so messy in there that I had a hard time to find some of them so I still have to look but I am done for now. Now I have to Waite and find something to do until everyone comes back from the CPR class. I added the number of each pamphlet everyone wanted and put it on Linda’s Computer. I brought some mail to Radiology oncology and to the out patient room located by the diabetes department. I ate lunch then I went to the mailroom to get the mail, then I copied 250 pages for Trish. Then I sorted through papers for Mr. Howko and counted how many blanks and how many doctors attended and then added them up then divided by how many doctors.
July 20 2005, Wednesday
I did the inventory thing for Mr. Howko again and I attended a meeting for diabetes it was interesting it only lasted an hour but they were thinking about how they could reach out it was interesting and some of the ideas were too. But I think they should do like a donation thing instead of $15. I also SMOGed some pamphlets for Linda while I Waite for Lisa to get me for one of her classes that I am going to observe. I observed part of the class it was on child delivery it was interesting on what I saw on it. I am going down to the cath lab tomorrow and then radiology on Wednesday and Thursday.
July 21 2005, Thursday
My sister came to see me and we walked over to the cath lab together because she had to deliver some stuff to the doctors but be for we went over there I gave her a tour of my office and introduced her to everyone well I didn’t really have to do that because she knows two people in my office. But after that we headed down and she introduced me to DR. Pesola, DR. Jean, and a lot of other doctors that I seen. Hears some of the thing I did……..

July 25,2005 Monday
Today I went to the 7th floor and helped out a bit with reorganizing stuff and I ran into Coby and Jenne’s aunt and she bombarded me with a hug and a I haven’t seen you in a while are you graduating this coming year. Well besides that I ate lunch in the caff today with my office it was ok I guess. Then I got to copy a big book of abbreviations so I can get the scoop of the Radiology Special Procedures for tomorrow and Wednesday.
