Improv Snowboarding

Dec 28, 2004 00:12

It snowed near us the other day, so yesterday my familly went out with the sledge and sandboard (hey we used to live in Uruguay...) and found themselves some snow to go down for an afternoon. I didn't go with them because i had just got San Andreas and frankly, couldn't be arsed. This morning however, i went with my dad and brother to chase down the last of the melting snow. Took us about forty minutes to find some, after crossing some rather dodgy ice, so we parked the car and climbed up carrock fell. There didn't seem to be a LOT of snow, so we left the sledge in the car but took the sandboard. We went up that little valley thing, but quickly ran into bogs. We crossed the stream and climbed up the other mountain next to Carrock. (don't ask me what it's called). WE got all the way to the top before finding much snow and when we got there it was really too deep to snowboard down (at least on a sandboard). Fairly deep too (about shin height) which was weird when you saw bits that had no snow right next to bits where you'd lose your feet in the snow. Then on the way down we slid about on the ice that had formed on the track we were following, and that was pretty fun... I took a few pictures with my new mini-digital camera, so maybe when i get my computer back in my room (or to an internet connection of some form) then i'll upload them.

Oh and as for christmas... don't you just love a day when you can eat so much you actually throw up... and then eat some more... And for all you fools that say what's the point in that, i enjoy eating more than i enjoy digesting... so bleh.
