comment_fic for the prompt "Seriously, are you just making up sounds now?". For background: Percy is married to Audrey around the time of the epilogue, she's in JK Rowling's notes and everything! This makes her technically not a OC, hush.
Also: In this she's a muggle, though... You probably would've been able to work that out, yes.
Summary: The first time he performed magic in front of his future wife
The first time he performed magic in front of his future wife (she was about to be attacked by a rogue Dementor and he did spend about a week afterwards feeling terribly guilty about any accidentally improper use of magic, thank you very much) her only reaction was to look faintly disbelieving while pressed up against the outside wall of a bank.
“Sorry, I’m Percy Weasley,” he offered anyway, extending a hand with his hair all over the place (honestly, damned Dementors), “are you alright?”
She only stared at his hand for a few moments more… So long, in fact, that he half considered speeding her to a hospital (in deep and only faintly frenzied detail) before she suddenly scraped her hand from the wall and gripped his, “Audrey Kemp.”
He smiled at that (still only faintly frenzied due to relief), shook her hand in a firm and not at all breathless way, “are you alright?”
…She just stared at him for a few moments more, her eyes narrowed.
“Audrey…?”
Audrey… Had quickly peeled herself up from the wall, and placed her hands on her hips, “did you just make that up?”
“…What?”
The first time he performed magic in front of his future wife was a faintly breathless, faintly panicky and entirely novel moment.
