Thank you for your review! I, too, was glad to get some of Sasuke's thoughts over the ending of the series, as I think he has an interesting perspective to bring to everyrhing we've seen. The story couldn't really reach an emotional close, I think, if there were an overarching question of whether Sasuke was coming back to Konoha simply because he'd lost (which was an enduring problem in Madara's association with Hashirama) or whether he wanted to be a part of the village. As senior_witch asked, there is an unresolved question of who Sasuke is now that he wants to set vengeance aside, and of what he wants *positively* (as opposed to no longer wanting to be the person he used to be). For me, I like the journey he sets out on at the end of the series precisely because I think Sasuke needs an answer to those questions even more than we do, and he won't find them while he's comparing himself with Naruto in Konoha. The arc of Sasuke leaving on a journey of self-discovery, possibly at the Dragon Cave in a similar retreat to Naruto's study with the frogs, was what I hoped to see from a "next arc" of Naruto if we got one. I'm sorry we don't get to see him discover who he wants to be instead of who he reactively feels he must be, but in the end I suppose the story is "Naruto", and we've now finished the story of Naruto himself discovering and asserting his place in the world. I liked this chapter as an ending to that story.
It's been lovely following the end of Naruto with everyone in this community. We've had a great run! Thank you all!
