I have long stopped to take the manga seriously either, because, well, it's better for my own health. It's just a story, and Kishimoto does not know much about suffering and about politics

I think I might take a pass on reading this and future chapters; I'm grateful to this site for its recaps since they give me an idea of whether or not I want to continue checking out the manga

I agree with so much of what you are saying, especially about Danzou. I mean he got a flash back to explain his "pure and honest" motivations while Sasuke was purposely made out to be the villain in the end, despite the fact that Danzou had an arm full of Sharingans! Time and time again I am disappointed by the way Sasuke's character is portrayed; from the crazy faces to attempted murder. I hoped that Konoha and it's dirty politics, and those of the Ninja world in general would eventually be shown for what they are; a defective system that might have some selfless heroes, but is based on simply a power struggle between internal and external factions

Kishi seems invested in Konoha in a way that other shounen writers aren't invested in their settings. For example in Bleach we have Soul Society where some people (Yoruichi, Urahara, the Vizards) have valid and justified reasons in addition to the bad apples like Aizen. Amestris in Full Metal Alchemist is still guilty of a genocide. Mustang and Hawkeye still had blood on their hands; atoning for those crimes and fighting against the regime responsible for them was their character arc; no secret Ishbalans emerged to handily massacre their people for the Amestrians. The closest you get to a Sasuke is Scar whose hatred for state alchemists is shown as a logical consequence of what he lost. In contrast you have Kishi

Now I know the word to describe what I think of the manga: it's become scary. Danzou is grey, and Sasuke is completely crazy. What kind of moral judgement is that? But this is the way Kishimoto makes it appear.
So Sasuke's plan to improve the corrupt shinobi system is to kill the 5 kage and then become kage himself? Yes, he does mean to kill them. At least with the moon eye plan everyone got to see their dreams come true even if it was in a false dream world. In Sasuke's world they would probably be enslaved. The only way Sasuke would become kage would be to use the tailed beasts and become some sort of a tyrant because no one would willingly accept him. And people say Naruto is an idiot.
I knew there would be a Naruto Vs Sasuke, but I didn't picture it this way. I was happy with what I saw as Sasuke's progress. He was changing all on his own without Naruto's help. But now it seems Sasuke's only hope is to get TNJ'd by Naruto, Pain style and this is the ending we will probably get. I can't see either one being killed. But I suppose it is possible.
Was everyone surprised by Sasuke's sudden attack? Disappointed? Pleased?
I wasn't hugely surprised by it--a lot of people on NF had been speculating that there would be a serious conflict between Naruto and Sasuke about how to fix the ninja world. I was a bit disappointed in the way it played out , though. Like a few other people have said, Sasuke is being portrayed as just completely crazy here, and while his plan is wrong, it would make for a more compelling conflict if we could have said, as with Pain, "Well, the guy does have a point, but he's kinda going overboard here..." I think what would have helped would be if Sasuke gave some reasoning: pointing out that the bijuu have been at the center of the conflicts that have been tearing the ninja world apart for decades, and that the current leaders have done some pretty shitty things (Raikage presumably ordered that attempted kidnapping of Hinata, for example). Naruto could then counter that the bijuu are sapient and that treating them like mindless beasts is just as bad as
