So I've been out of the Naruto loop for a bit and have just managed to catch up. I agree with everyone about the pacing of this chapter and the absolute ridiculousness of everyone just magically powering up and Orochimaru wanting to experiment some more. More than anything, as time goes on all I can say is the cycle of every major "villain" that faces Naruto, or any self righteous "good" Ninja will be defeated by the power of his "way of Ninja" continues but without any of these villains real issue being resolved much like rouge_angle said. More than anything, does anyone actually feel that Obito is a threat anymore? I mean here he is still trying to talk to Naruto despite being incredibly close to his goal. I wish there was a "villain" that would manage to ask Naruto a question that couldn't be answered with "it's my way of the Ninja" and make Naruto question his philosophy, but now since Sasuke has joined up with Konoha, will anyone ever question Konoha's credibility again?
Sorry for not participating in the past discussions and looking forward to future ones! Btw rouge_angle, I too was hoping Shikamaru would die and take Kakashi with him!
I must admit that I can sympathize with everyone who drops out of the manga for a while. I don't think that Obito himself is a threat, but I think that the growing, blooming and bearing fruit of the Tree of Life is no longer under Obito's control.
