Once again I haven't much to say other than to agree (once again) that the plot is currently moving at the pace of a geriatric snail. Ever since the chapter with the God Tree I feel like the manga's been stuck in some kind of Groundhog Day timeloop with the same scenarios being repeated over and over and over again. I really hope the cycle is broken next week.

Regarding Obito, it looks like he will eventually succumb to Talk no Jutsu after all - which I was still hoping we'd avoid. I know this is a very long-standing theme of Naruto, but isn't giving the younger audience the message that you can change anyone's thinking if you just keep going on and on at them stupid (or maybe even dangerous)?

This suddenly made this thought pop into my head: "Imagine if it turns out IT already happened, and that's why everything keeps repeating." That would be insanely mindscrewy and way more meta than this manga has ever been, so it's obvi not what's going on, but dang, that would kind of awesome too.

Also agreed that the messages in this manga are not really healthy things to be telling children quite a lot of the time.

Lol, that's the explanation. And the Shinobi don't realize it!

LOL. You took the words right out of my mouth. Or maybe Sasuke put everyone under Izanami as soon as he got to the battlefield and they are all in the same boat as Kabuto?

Agree, not a snowball's chance in hades this is going to be the case no matter how awesome.

I just may have to find a copy of Ground Hog Day to watch now :)

I've always assumed Obito was going to be TNJ'd, but I had hoped it would be by Kakashi instead of Naruto.

I think it will be Kakashi, I think he is talking about Obito looking at Naruto and remembering his younger self. And also Minato may have something to say.
