(I recommend you to listen to With all my heart while reading)
Dressed in his stylish clothes, sunglasses, and clutching his bag, Jaejoong walked across the main lobby of Incheon Airport. He was accompanied by some guards who were keeping the fans from being too close to him. Screams from the fans eager to see Jaejoong back in Korea filled the place. Flashes from cameras were everywhere.
By that time, Jaejoong was already used to flying back and forth between Korea and Japan by himself. But being used to it didn’t mean that he was happy and comfortable and that he liked it. In fact, he hated it, but he had no choice. It was one of the effects of the lawsuit.
Sometimes it would be with Yoochun, or Junsu, or both of them, but never with Changmin or Yunho. Jaejoong missed those times when they all took the plane together. He missed being with his co-soulfighter. He missed being with his leader. But then again, he had no choice.
Being on the plane always reminded Jaejoong of Yunho. Most of the time, the two of them were seated together in the plane. He missed being embarrassed because of Yunho’s habit of sleeping with his mouth open. He missed putting a towel on Yunho’s face to hide his cute and adorable open mouth. He missed Yunho’s warmth and presence. A sad smile would always grace his face when he remembered those things.
Jaejoong woke up in the middle of the night and he couldn’t fall asleep again. He decided to pass away the time and take a quick drive. He changed his clothes, grabbed his car keys, and was out of his house in no time.
It was always relaxing for Jaejoong to take a drive alone late in the night because there was no traffic and the cold night air was very refreshing. After driving for minutes without any destination, he found himself in front of the Han River. He parked his car a distance away from the other cars in the vicinity and got out.
Jaejoong scanned the area and realized that only a few people were there. They were minding their own business so he didn’t have to worry about being seen. He stood in front of the river, taking in the beautiful scene.
The silence around Jaejoong was disturbed when he heard another car parking near his car. Slightly annoyed at the sudden intrusion to his peaceful place that he took first, he glanced at the newcomer. The car engine stopped and the car lights darkened. The door opened and revealed a familiar figure.
“Yunho?” Jaejoong asked to confirm his thoughts. The man looked at him and walked closer.
“Jae?” the man spoke. As the man moved closer, the more Jaejoong confirmed that it was really Yunho.
“Yes, it’s me.” Jaejoong said and smiled at the man that he longed for the most.
“I didn’t expect to see you here. I thought you were in Japan.” Yunho said with surprised eyes. Both of them faced the wide expanse of water and stood beside each other. Silence enveloped them and they didn’t know what to do. Not being able to see each other for so long and then suddenly having the chance to do so was a big surprise.
“How are...” both of them spoke at the same time.
“You go first.” Jaejoong said and laughed. He never tore his gaze away from Yunho’s face.
“How are you?” Yunho asked. He wanted to say many things to Jaejoong, questions that he wanted to ask since they last saw each other, but all that escaped his lips were those three words that formed a very stereotypical question.
“I’m fine. I’m working hard on my drama.” Jaejoong answered and shyly asked “H-have you watched it?”
“Of course. You did a great job Jae, you always do.” Yunho sincerely replied.
“That goes the same for you. You were awesome in the Michael Jackson tribute concert.” Jaejoong commented. “How’s Min? Is he eating right?”
“As expected from you Eomma Jae.” Yunho teased. “Don’t worry about Min. He’s in great shape.”
“I really miss him.” Jaejoong said quietly.
“He misses you too. He misses fighting with you and most of all your food.” Yunho laughed heartily. “How’s Chun and Su?”
“Their health is good and both of them are busy with their solo activities. Chun is busy with his drama and Junsu with his new single.”
“I was surprised with Junsu. I didn’t know that our Angel Xiah can become that sexy and hot.” Yunho smiled and laughed along with Jaejoong.
“I miss Junsu’s dolphin voice and duckbutt and Yoochun’s wide forehead.” Yunho joked.
“They miss the nagging leader-shii too.” Jaejoong smiled. A cold rush of wind passed them and slightly gave shivers to Jaejoong’s body. He rubbed his hands together and warmed his hands further by blowing his hot breath on them. Yunho noticed Jaejoong’s actions.
Once Jaejoong let down his hands on his sides, he felt a warm hand holding on to his cold one. He looked down at the hand and up its owner’s face. Yunho was smiling happily beside Jaejoong and he intertwined his fingers on the empty spaces between Jaejoong’s fingers. Their hands molded against each other perfectly. The warmth from Yunho’s hand was enough to make Jaejoong’s whole body warm and fuzzy, protected and comfortable. Only Yunho’s touch could do that. He moved closer to Yunho and rested his head on his shoulders. They looked over Han River with smiles on their faces.
“I missed you so much Yunho.” Jaejoong whispered as he tightly held on Yunho’s hand.
“Me too Jae.” Yunho said and softly planted a kiss on Jaejoong’s hair. “Me too.”
Yunho was about to say something when he heard quiet sobs coming from Jaejoong. He tilted his head and saw tears falling from Jaejoong’s eyes.
“Jae, why are you crying?” Yunho was alarmed by Jaejoong’s tears. He didn’t like seeing his lover cry. It was too much for his heart to take.
“You don’t hate me Yunho? You’re not angry with the three of us?” Jaejoong asked between his sobs. Yunho gently removed himself from Jaejoong and put his hands on Jaejoong’s shoulders. He turned Jaejoong’s body to face him.
“Jae, what are you saying? I don’t hate you, or Junsu, or Yoochun. Changmin and I understand the three of you.” Yunho explained.
“It’s just that, some people are saying that the three of us are the ones who caused all of these problems for our group.” Jaejoong said without meeting Yunho’s eyes.
Yunho cupped Jaejoong’s face and looked at him straight in the eye.
“Jae, don’t listen to them. Believe in me. Believe in Changmin. With what happened to TVXQ, we shouldn’t blame anyone in our group. Those people are just doing that to break the five of us apart. As the leader of TVXQ, I won’t allow that Jae.”
“All of our beloved fans are believing in us and keeping their faith. I know that they will patiently wait for TVXQ to come back as five and stronger than before. We can’t let them down. If the five of us falter ourselves, then there’s no more hope in bringing this problem to an end.” Yunho continued.
“Everything will be okay.” Yunho assured and smiled.
“Yes, the five of us will be together again.” Jaejoong said as he dried his tears.
“Come here Jae.” Yunho wrapped his arms around Jaejoong and pulled him into a tight embrace. Jaejoong hugged Yunho back and they were locked in each other’s arms.
“Don’t cry anymore. It breaks my heart every time you do that.” Yunho whispered in Jaejoong’s ears. The other man nodded. He embraced Yunho tighter and buried his face in his chest.
Yunho and Jaejoong spent their remaining time in each other’s arms. They were transported into their own world where only the two of them existed. Feeling each other’s warmth and presence was enough. If they could just stay like that without any problems, how great it would be. But reality was cruel. No matter how much they wanted to be together, it was not possible at that time. Things were still very complicated.
“It’s time to go Jae.” Yunho said and gently pulled away from Jaejoong’s embrace. His hands slid down to Jaejoong’s hands and held them. They gazed at each other with immense love and longing. Yunho leaned forward and kissed Jaejoong’s soft lips.
“I love you Jae.”
“I love you too Yunho.”
‘With all my heart’ they both said with their hearts, though unspoken through their lips.
Mustering up all of his courage, Yunho let go of Jaejoong’s hands and turned his back. He willed his feet to walk away from Jaejoong. Tears fell down on Yunho’s face and he didn’t look back. He didn’t want to do that because it would be harder for him to turn his back again.
Jaejoong watched Yunho walk away from him. He agreed that he wouldn’t cry anymore but his emotions betrayed him. He couldn’t take the image of Yunho walking away from him. He wanted to run and prevent him from leaving, but he couldn’t. All he could do was cry as Yunho slowly disappeared from his eyes.
Though they couldn’t be together, their hearts would always remain with each other. It was something that a lawsuit couldn’t change.
