Madara teaches Itachi how to play the violin. AU might be easier but if you can work it to canon, then feel free!

not anon who promised to do it, but I COULD NOT resits trying this. AU, sadly, but hope it suits!

Madara first learned Itachi had musical talent when the boy was eleven. Itachi's parents had never mentioned Itachi took music lessons. Given how the bragged on everything else the boy did, Madara was certain they would have mentioned if Itachi took lessons. Still, Madara found his grand-nephew on the piano after one hectic family gathering. Itachi sat at the piano, back straight, in perfect posture. His fingers kissed against the yellowed ivory keys, and the piano was out of tune. No one played it. Except Itachi, it seemed, and how he played it. There was a reverent tenderness that made Madara think of love, intimacy, and respect

The Violin War 2

The hour became a battle. Madara wasn't sure of the sides, but he was certain Itachi was against the violin at times. Other times Madara thought both instrument and Itachi were against him. Other times Itachi acted like Madara and the violin were in league against him. Either way, there were no clear winners. There were obviously losers some days, and Madara began to think it was hopeless, and he'd found the one thing Uchiha Itachi could not do. Of course, neither of them could give up now. They had to see this all through to its conclusion

Itachi was drawing close to twelve. Madara came home, expecting the battleground he had grown used to. Killing still went on, though it was less brutal than it had been. It was still killing, and plenty brutal enough in Madara’s standards. Itachi had a key now, and he came like clockwork to practice. Madara closed the door, shuffling out of his shoes when he heard it

OP here. This is wonderful! Don't be sorry about the AU, it's just fine and I like AU. Thank you, this is absolutely perfect. I laughed at the part about playing by ear, I'm a pianist and my reading skills are quite bad considering I do that as well :)

Yay! I'm so glad you lied it. :D It was fun for me to write Itachi as a violin player, when I usually put Itachi and music together he plays piano by ear. I has a blast writing this, thanks for the prompt, and I'm glad you liked it. :D
