A little bit over the top for a title post isn't it. Well basically that's what I'm doing right now, I'm preparing myself for OOKU and GANTZ and was so happy to get it as a Christmas present.
I've finished reading OOKU volume 1, which tells us about the Mizuno and Yoshimune arc. Though it is written in old English with "nay's", "doth's" "tis" and more but I enjoyed it. I'm definitely looking forward to the movie now.The costumes and the setting will definitely be awesome for this period movie. The silk kimonos, the hair styles and everything. The characters of Mizuno and Yoshimune are lovable. Knowing what an amazing actor Nino is, I'm sure he'll really be the Mizuno as I pictured Mizuno to be. I haven't seen any drama that Shibasaki Kou ever did, so I can't say much yet but I hope she'll be a wonderful Yoshimune. I still have to watch her drama special with Jun this spring.
I know the year just started but I can't definitely wait till October comes because I'm really hoping for an amazing movie.
GANTZ is another thing though, at first I thought it was a typical action manga but then...as i read through the first volume my reactions became WTH, OMG, heads where flying, limbs and other parts were appearing, people blowing up.(those who have read the manga will definitely know what I mean).
I have to say this manga is kind of whacked in an intresting way with the cynical Kei and the soft hearted yankee that is Kato. And the different characters that is part of the group,I'm definitely intrested on seeing how it'll play out because this definitely graphic.
But with Nino and Matsuken( I love Matsuken's L) at the lead, it's something that is worth waiting for no matter how unconventional this movie will be and that for me is a plus.
