Asuka: You weren't home! Missions won't wait on your pride.

Asuka: I never said anything about not caring. You three are the ones freaking out because I'm not letting you in every little thing I do.
Asuka: I am not going to justify myself to you just because I'm doing my job and you don't like that.
Inosuke: This is USELESS. She's stubborn as hell.
Shikako: That's not it and you know it. We don't want to know everything, just anything that we could lose you from.
Chouko: You're still important to us, even if you aren't our sensei anymore.

Asuka: *frustrated* You could lose me tomorrow on a B-ranked mission gone wrong. I've survived ANBU once and and I'm going to again. This is what I do.

Inosuke: You know, we don't complain and we know you look in our mission files to see how dangerous a mission is before we go.
Asuka: Not for about a year, believe it or not. You're competant shinobi. You don't need to me looking over your shoulders anymore.
Inosuke: You're just scared. It's pathetic.
Asuka: Excuse me? Scared of what? You being an asshole?
Shikako: ::sighs and sits by Chouko:: This is so troublesome...
Inosuke: You do this with everyone. You put this wall and pretend not to care but you do. You just don't want to be hurt if someone you care about dies.
Asuka: ........
Inosuke: So just stop. Because you do care. You sit there and listen to us complain and you trick Shikako into doing work and you buy Chouko barbecue.
Shikako: ::nods:: Can't keep trying to fool us.
Asuka: .... look. ....... *more frustrated* All right, fine. I do care. I never said I didn't. But that doesn't change the fact that you're going to be doing dangerous missions, and so am I.
Asuka: The only way that's going to change is if someone quits. And I'm not. Someday I'm going to die on a mission. Nothing's going to change that.
Inosuke: Just tell us next time.
Shikako: All of us.
Asuka: If I have time. I don't always get a lot of advanced notice.
Inosuke: And uh-- sorry for yelling at you, Chouko.

Asuka: You know, I should have done more than just left a note. Sure, I'll agree with that. But I didn't have the time to go hunting through Konoha to find you when you weren't home. I'm not apologizing for that.
