Full of lively and youthful energy and carrying what she felt to be an excellent idea in her brain, it took considerable control to keep from bouncing along up the stairs to the Hokage's office. As it was she would dance a couple steps, earning her queer looks from others that she brushed off with the practiced ease of one used to such stares.
She knocked respectfully on the door to the Hokage's office, rolling up onto the balls of her feet as she waited for a reply. Biting her lower lip kept her from singing out Tsurude-samaaaa~, which the Hokage would most certainly not appreciate if he was busy.
The reply was quick but terse. "Yes?"
Leigh entered and made sure to close the door. Walking over to the blond man, she stopped about ten paces from the desk and planted her feet shoulder-width apart before declaring: "I, Rock Leigh, request on behalf of myself and Uzumaki Naruko that, in light of the upheavel in Suna and the stress that Gaara-chan's having to cope with as the new Kazekage-sama, that we be allowed to go visit and see how she's doing NOT as dignitaries because we don't want to make the Suna-nin think that the Kazekage is unable to do her job, but as FRIENDS. Because hard times are made easier with friends." Thusly said, she finished with an extra sparkly grin in her nice-girl pose!
"..." Tsurude looked at her, thinking. "Keep Naruko out of trouble and you have a deal."
"YOSH!!" Leigh cried. She saluted smartly and clicked her heels together, not quite able to keep the grin from her face.
"Make me proud!" Tsurude smiled.
Leigh nodded vigorously! "Always, Hokage-sama! When can we go?"
"As soon as possible."
"OSSU!" Leigh responded. "I'll write Gaara-chan and let her know we're coming, so she can be expecting us." She saluted Tsurude again before turning and walking quickly from the office. She couldn't wait to tell Naruko-chan! And there was the letter to write to Gaara-chan!
