Straight to the Source [tag to Kakami, Tsurude and anyone free]
After strong-arming Kakami into some social interaction - if you could call looking for details on previous missions as social interaction - the two jounin ended up at the lounge after a trip full of traded insults and discarded cigarette butts. It was nice to be back in Konoha, Asuka felt, if only because there were people here she could harass and enjoy while doing so. Harassing enemy nin on missions isn't so much the same... probably because they always ended up dead in the end.
The hallways around the lounge were full of busy ninja and clerical workers, as usual; going on break or coming back from break or heading down to the mission offices for something else to do. And the lounge, as usual, was populated - it was almost never empty, despite how much work there was to do - with the radio set low to a pop station, some nin in the other corner talking in low tones over what was probably a girly magazine, and - was that Tsurude over by the television?
