((OOC: Because my schedule no londer coincides with other people's, and I want to at least do something with Naruko, I figured this would be the best way to get something done. So!))
Hands bound above his head, Inosuke was still shirtless and miserable. His body ached something nasty and he was tired, cold, and hungry. With every intake of air, his breath wheezed painfully, a sure sign of a broken rib... or three. Beneath choppy blond locks, his striking face was covered in cuts and contusions, lip split and cracked with dried blood. Angry red nail marks covered his naked abdomen.
Inosuke lifted his head slightly at the sudden noise. Was someone coming to free him, or was there more torture in store?
Letting the heavy oor fall shut behind her Zabuza leaned against it and silently watched Inosuke for a long moment.
"It seems you were right, your friends are here." She finally remakred, sounding not the least bit alarmed at the fact that they were being over run by hostile forces as she was speaking.
Haku felt the demon-vessel before she heard her, the chakra aura seeming all the more heightened to her senses in such a desolate place. She turned to Zabuza-san, standing at her left to look at her with the uncovered side of her face.
"...Zabuza-san. May I go? In case you want to spend more time with the Konoha-nin, so you may be uninturrupted." Haku said, quickly adding the last part as if she could hide the hopeful tone in her earlier question. As if she could hide anything from Zabuza-san.
Zabuza regarded Haku for a moment with the cool eyes, coloured like a fogged over night sky seeming too pierce through any subterfuge of her tool.
All around them the battle could be felt, the air tasting like blood and metal and smoke. The former missing-nin could feel the hair at the back of her neck stand up in anticipation, instincts honed over a lifetime of bloodshed screaming for action.
"You may." A faint nod and Zabuza stepped up to the door that held the cell of the blond boy..she had not bothered learning his name. Pausing for a heartbeat, the deceptively small hand looking out of place against the cold rough metal of the door, she addressed the younger woman, her voice easily cutting through the ruckus penetrating the once grave silence of the prison. "But Haku...be prudent." That said she pulled open the door and without looking back entered the cell.
"Yes, Zabuza-san." Haku murmured softly but clearly. She bowed her head obediently before the small ninja appeared to vanish, she was moving at such speeds to the source of the kyuubi hoast's unmistakable aura. Those that felt it once would be unlikely to ever forget it.
Naruko bolted down a side corridor, nostrils flaring as she tried to pick up a familiar scent over the smell of mildew and blood. The smell of sickness followed her, and she snorted, trying to clear her sinuses of the dank reek.
Pausing, Naruko raised up to a half crouch, red eyes glaring at the dark end of the hall. The ties holding her pigtails had snapped, leaving her long hair loose to drift in the breezes created by her hot chakra. Someone was coming, almost familiar, but not someone she could place. It didn't feel hostile, but Naruko couldn't be sure. Her chakra tail waved in her indecision, her claws flexing, ready to flee or strike should it turn out to be an enemy.
