Kureno stood at the training grounds he met Sachiko at from time to time to help her with her mindwalking training. It was a bit unusual for him to be waiting for her, as he'd come to have a routine of letting her get warmed up before he showed. It had come to feel not so much like he was late, but that she had a responsibility to be ready for

Kureno continued speaking as he tucked the origami back into the center pocket on his right. "It's come time to put your control training to the test, and until you can pass this one, I'm not advancing your training any further. I'm giving you a generous one week to accomplish this task. We'll meet here to start every day at this time and you'll have six hours to pass the test. The entire village is recognized as fair grounds, but no one is to be harmed in this test with the possible exception of you or I. Doujutsu are legal. Once the six hours have passed, all illusions placed are to be dispelled. If you cannot pass this test in a week, you will be put under more control training until I deem you ready to try again, but the next time you'll only get four days. Then two, then twelve hours, then you fail. I'd like to say you probably won't have to worry about failing, but I in turn will be defending myself with genjutsu, and I'm not looking to make this easy for you. If by chance you can catch me in an illusion long enough to get the information before I detect and dispel it, I'll recognize your control training as complete and move onto the next lesson."
A hand was brought up over the set of pockets on his right. "The information will not be moved from where you see me put it each day. Knowing for a certainty where to find it will be your one advantage in this test." Red eyes leveled with hers. "Any questions?"

The fact it would be a genjutsu that would solely affect Kureno's mind made it both easier and harder at the same time. Easier because making a genjutsu to affect many minds took more time and energy. She wouldn't forget this was Kureno, however. At least it wasn't her sister. No, no, he didn't say it was to only affect his mind; he said that no one is to be harmed excepting himself and her.
Hmmm....
Now, now, don't be stupid, she chided herself. As much fun as it might be to imagine getting a little non-painful revenge on a few people, it wasn't worth the consequences of getting caught. Didn't mean she couldn't include what she wanted to do as a part of the genjutsu on Kureno though.
Black eyes stared back, a light smirk on her lips. My, wasn't she in a rare good mood today? Why shouldn't she be, though? She now had the chance to really test her skill with genjutsu, and have a little fun with illusion-creation. "Will the six hours start at the same time every day, or will you vary the starting time?" The flexibility would have both its advantages and disadvantages, but those she could ponder after receiving an answer.

"Ten a.m. to four p.m. for the next seven days, unless I specifically instruct otherwise at the end of the day. Your time begins as soon as you say you're ready to begin."

So much for getting creative with shadows and the like. Ah, well.
She didn't have any other questions (the instructions were pretty straightforward, and extensive questioning left less wiggle room in case she needed it), so she simply nodded in acknowledgment of his response. "Understood," she said, lifting a hand to scratch an itch on her scalp. "How about we start when you dispel the bunshin?" Because why should she expend the energy to do it herself, she may need for something else?

"How long have you known?"

But this just might be fun. Sachiko was something of a genius after all, and it was only her track record keeping her held back. Kureno--the real Kureno who was watching from the branches of a tree some distance away, shrouded in another genjutsu of his own--felt the corner of his mouth lift. Below, his bushin did the same.
"Your test begins now," it said, and vanished.
