[Rp Thread] The TALK [Hinaji, Kiba]

Takes place a few days or so after Hinaji and Kureno have their talk.Once again Hinaji found himself pacing while he waited to have a difficult conversation. He knew Kureno had been right about needing to figure things out for themselves, but waiting for Kiba to arrive so they could discuss things was as difficult as actually trying to talk to his

Kiba was past thinking about what had happened between her and Hinaji, simply because it was past. Thinking about the future was not something she did often perhaps when when she should. So she had no idea what she was in for when Hinaji called and said that he wanted to talk.

"Hey," she grinned to him, seeing him at the post; he looked nervous almost. "What's up?"

"Just..." He paused; he really had no idea how to start this conversation. He didn't want her to think he was angry or, or...something. "Um... Would you like to sit down?" The training area was usually empty around this time, and he'd checked to make sure no one was nearby earlier. Here should be as good a place to talk as any.

He waited until they were both comfortably next to each other before he plucked at the grass in front of him, not quite looking at Kiba.

"I thought, um. A-about before. Maybe we should talk about it..."

Hinaji's actions were making Kiba nervous, suddenly. He had talked to Kureno, and she had thought that it was all squared away and okay but... but with how he was acting. The nervousness, the twitchiness, the picking at the grass he only did things like that when he was really upset or really nervous. Had the conversation gone bad...?

Kiba fidgeted herself before she asked, voice hesitant. "Did... did I do something wrong?"

Had she upset him? Had she pushed things when she shouldn't have? She had thought that he had enjoyed it like she had. Oh no, what had she done...?

"N-no! Not that!" He looked up quickly and dropped the blade of grass he'd been destroying. He hadn't meant to make her think that. "You didn't do anything wrong, really!"

He fidgeted some more but didn't look away. "It's just,um. I just..." He could feel his face turning all shades of red. "I liked it, um. But I'm not sure, um..." He trailed off, realising he was only making things worse, and let his eyes fall back to the grass in front of her.

"...What if we rushed things...?"

Kiba let herself release a shuddery breath and relax as Hinaji said she hadn't done anything wrong. For a brief moment she'd been utterly terrified that she had someone done something wrong had... had reminded him of what Kabumi had tried to do or something else. He certainly had her attention now, and it wasn't even his adorably red face. It was his question that he finally managed to spit out.

"Rushed things?" The Inuzuka asked softly, carefully taking his hand. "What do you mean rushed things?"

Hinaji squeezed her hand and glanced over at her. He felt strange, having this conversation. They were adults but he didn't feel it right then. Shouldn't they have been past this stage years ago?

"Just... We haven't really thought things through, have we?" He looked out towards the Compound, partly to get his thoughts in order and partly to make sure no one was creeping up on them. Maybe this wasn't a good place to talk...

"I told Kureno-sensei I didn't care what our families said but... I'm not sure if that's true yet." He wanted it to be, but he was well aware of his own faults and weaknesses, and Hiashiko was at the top of that list.

Kiba wanted to argue that of course they had thought about this and they thought things through. But the arguement died in her throat at his look and she started to really think. They hadn't thought about it- they had acted in the heat of the moment and things could have gone wrong. She didn't like thinking of what ifs but what ifs in this case were something to really think about.

"... I guess we haven't," she finally admitted, fingers tearing up the grass. "It just kind of happened and then... we talked to Kureno-sensei."

She sighed a touch and tucked her knees up. "... I know my family wouldn't mind lots. They like you and they don't much care who I'm with. And I know your mom is good to us but... I dunno about the rest of your clan. And if it does go that far, and if we do have kids..."

This was a lot to think about.

"... maybe we're not ready for it all yet."

"...Yeah..." Not that he'd been thinking ahead either before his talk with Kureno. Things just felt like they would fall into place. The only reason he'd stopped them from going forward before was because of nervousness.

"S-sorry." He really had liked what they'd done before.

"... we shouldn't plan on going far." Kiba said, after a long bout of silence. "But we should be prepared in case we do lose track and go too far. Birth control, condoms... everything."

She leaned against him, voice soft. "... don't be sorry. I... I should have thought of this before."

Hinaji blushed even more. She was so casual about these kinds of things. And here he'd been thinking they'd just have to put their relationship on hold...

"Y-yeah..." And a place to go as well as those other things. He didn't want to be spotted kissing Kiba, let alone...anything else. His mother hadn't said anything yet, but he could hear it now if she found out about things like that. Poor Enka wouldn't leave his room for a week.
