Jiraiya decided that enough was enough. After another long day of writing, editing, etc, she was grumpy, and needed something to drink to bring her spirits up. Taking her reading glasses off and tossing them haphazardly on her desk, she went to her room, throwing on something a little more decent than the nightie that she'd been wearing all day,

Picking up her bottle of sake, she poured it into her cup, although what was left barely could be considered a full drink. She pouted slightly, then turned back to Tentsuke. "So you're stuck here in Konoha while everyone else is out too, huh?" Getting the attention of the bartender, she had him bring her another bottle of sake.
((OOC: Sorry, was logged into the wrong journal x.x))

The first thought in his mind was not to blush.
The second thought was to stop blushing immediately.
When he got past the fact that he was doomed to look like an idiot, he mentally kicked himself for not having at least one of her books with him to beg for an autograph.
"Eh," he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly and then happily let the subject turn towards her second statement.
"Yeah, pretty much. Nothing like filling up the gaps in sentry duty to make you feel useless." The bartender returned with the sake and he stood up quickly. "Um, let me get that. Not every day you get to sit next to a legend for a drink."

She got a wicked idea, to try to see how uncomfortable she could really make Tentsuke. Turning to face him, she put the sultriest grin on her face that she could manage. "Well, that's awfully nice of you, Ten-tsu-ke-ku~un," she said, letting his name slip slowly from between her lips. "You're not trying to pick me up, now are you?" Inside, she had the biggest grin on her face, but outside, she was all business. After all, even a Legendary Sannin had to have her fun, too.

"I'm just trying... to..." His hand smacked on the counter as he struggled to bring his earnings under control.
"I just... err..." He put his hand into his hair reflectively, a nervous action, and an action that resulted in whatever was in said hand to fall onto the ground.
"Crap," he said, kneeling down to get the fallen money. Of course in doing so, he came eye to eye with the set of legs that caused this problem and somehow just ended up patting the ground aimlessly for money that wasn't there at all.

"You're not? Well....that's too bad...I'm so bored that I probably would have let you," she said, and then smirked, helping him pick up his coins that had fallen onto the ground, and then went back to sit on her stool again. "That was awfully nice of you to pay for my sake, though, Ten-kun." Smiling, she poured herself a cup from the new bottle, and then poured a little for Tentsuke. "Sentry duty, huh? I always hated that." She downed her sake quickly, pouring herself another cup.

He realized quickly that the latter was important for living soon after and lucky for him she stood up. As he moved from blue to normal, he took his seat, attempting not to look like suck a clumsy ass but more then likely failing.
He did catch the second sentence (thank God) so he brightened a bit. "Yeah, well, Nejiko would kick my ass from here to Suna if she heard I slacked off while she was away."
He very carefully took the cup of sake to his nose and took a whiff. It smelt like good stuff and he took a sip slowly.
"I mean, it's pretty uninteresting but it keeps me alert," he added. What he didn't add that as he was on sentry, he'd also be the first to see Nejiko and Leigh coming back.

"More like completley nerve wracking," he stated with a frown. He would have gone on but Kakami entered at that point and he made a resolution not to look as stupid to her as he had to Jiraiya.
