[ooc: Takes place after Where's Naruko?.]

Sachiko: *has a small pack slung over one shoulder as she hesitates again outside the Inuzuka compound again, but not as long as before. Knocks and is let in, and hoofs it to along to Kiba's room to knock again*

Kiba: *muffled from inside, with some noises of shifting* S'open.

Sachiko: *sticks her head in before coming in herself* Hey.

Kiba: Hey. *sits on on her bed, carefully, bandages still on her hips* You both head home?

Sachiko: *nods* Already told her I'd pay to replace the lock. She said she was going to clean up and rest. *brings the pack around to the front and opens the flap before reaching in. Pulls out a small generic jar before tossing it to Kiba* It's the burn-salve I use. Figured it might help with any pain or whatever with the tattoos.

Kiba: *oofs slightly as she catches the jar, looking it over and sniffing it carefully* *she gives Sachiko a weird look, and then a slight smirk* ... thanks. Niisan's actually already got me a salve to help, but... I do appreciate this. I get burned more then one would think with half the stuff I do.

Sachiko: *walks over and sits near Kiba* What do you do?

Kiba: I get a lot of bad sunburn, to be honest. *makes room for her* And sometimes I accidently burn myself cooking, as stupid as that sounds.

Sachiko: ...That sucks.

Kiba: Happens when you got eight kids leaping on you. And the sunburn is my own stupidity.

Sachiko: Ah. *has never had the experience of eight kids leaping on her* Your face got sunburned? *recalls that Kiba keeps herself pretty well covered*

Kiba: All the time. And a lot this summer when we were buidling stuff. Sholders mostly.

Sachiko: Ah. *looks at her longsleeved hoodie* This has actually come in hand in keeping me from getting burned. I don't have to worry about sunscreen this way.

Kiba: Too hot when you're woeking outside putting up buildings. *looks at her*

Sachiko: *blinks when Kiba looks at her* What?

Kiba: ... huh? *blinks at her*

Sachiko: Nothing.
Sachiko: What buildings were you putting up?

Kiba: ... we're a big clan. Occasionally we need to put up new buildings with homes and kitchens, so on and so forth.

Sachiko: ...Oh.

Kiba: ... sorry.

Sachiko: *shakes her head* Don't worry about it.

Kiba: *just makes a faint noise in her throat*

Sachiko: ...How many people are in the Inuzuka clan, anyway?

Kiba: ... dunno. A lot? I don't really keep count. I know we take up the most land because of the kennels and stuff.

Sachiko: Mm.

Kiba: Mm?

Sachiko: Just thinking.

Kiba: 'bout what?

Sachiko: Lots of things and nothing all at the same time.

Kiba: Well, you got me if you want someone to listen.

Sachiko: *faint, quick smile* I know. Thanks.
Sachiko: And thanks again for helping me find Naruko.

Kiba: You don't have to thank me. I know what it's like to be worried about a teammate.

Sachiko: ......I'm surprised she thought no one would miss her.

Kiba: ... sometimes, when everyone seems to forget you, it's easy to think.

Sachiko: Naruko?

Kiba: *shrugs* I've done it.

Sachiko: *looks away* Hn.

Kiba: ... what?

Sachiko: It just seemed like everyone was quite conscious of her. I didn't think... I guess I just didn't think.
Sachiko: *looks crossly at nothing*

Kiba: Yeah you did. You went to find her.

Sachiko: I guess I would've thought someone else would've beat me to it.

Kiba: You don't give youerself enough credit.
Kiba: Or maybe you don't want to, one or the other.

Sachiko: I don't know. > <

Kiba: Why does it matter?

Sachiko: I don't know. We've got a lot of history and... I dunno.

Kiba: Which is probably why you went to find her.
Kiba: Whether you want it or not, even though I think you do, she's your friend.

Sachiko: The funny thing is, it's... not even really that. It's more like I wish we didn't have the history we do.

Kiba: 'Cause it's convulted and its confusing and it sucks but you still wanna be friends anyway?

Sachiko: *really quiet-like* .........more like I wish sometimes I could pretend I didn't try to kill her, or try and gut her emotionally when that failed.

Kiba: .... mmmm. *it's soft and she looks to the ceiling* ... ever said sorry?

Sachiko: I don't thing "Sorry" would do a whole lot.

Kiba: You'd be surprised. And it's a place to start.

Sachiko: I'd think it'd be insulting.

Kiba: ....you're thinking like you.

Sachiko: *shifts uncomfortably* Not entirely. *avoiding Kiba's eyes*

Kiba: Yes, entirely. *shifts to watch her better*

Sachiko: *shakes her head* Not entirely.
Sachiko: Because it would depend on who's doing the apologizing, and for what.
Sachiko: ...I've actually thought about apologizing to her before now.

Kiba: ... so do it.

Sachiko: *half-smiles, eyes on floor* Think it would actually work?

Kiba: I don't know. But I think it be some place to start. She might flip out, she might not. But you can always say sorry, and then say why you're saying sorry, and try and explain. We've had this discussion- relationships aren't easy.

Sachiko: I know. *winces slightly* I just don't want her flipping out on me again.

Kiba: .... that's what happens sometimes too. *quieter*

Sachiko: ........................Sorry about that.

Kiba: ... about what?

Sachiko: When I lost my head that one time.

Kiba: ... I'm not mad at you for that Sachiko. You scared me, but I'm not angry. If anything, that taught me more about you then anything else, and it's something even I needed to learn.

Sachiko: *studies Kiba*

Kiba: *gazes back at her easily*

Sachiko: Someone else flip out on you?

Kiba: ... nope. I did once and punched Hanato in the nose though.

Sachiko: Really?

Kiba: ... I was pretty upset with him. I started to run, he came after me, and I hit without thinking. And then I kept running. Until the girls convinced me to go back.

Sachiko: Oh.

Kiba: ... it's a long story. *wry smile*

Sachiko: I'll listen if you want me to.

Kiba: ... it was like a year or so ago. He'd been training for ANBU, but hadn't told me, and... he ended up implying that he didn't trust me, which... kind of hurt because I hadn't done anything. And I meant to get away with him because he seemed angry at me. And I ran away. He tried to come after me, and I reacted blindly and hit him. And then kept running.

Sachiko: *nods*

Kiba: I went back to him, of course, to help him get home and I apologized. Even though he hurt me far worse then I ever hurt him. *shrugs* We... made up eventually.

Sachiko: *nods again, not really having anything to contribute*

Kiba: *shrugs a bit* ... things happen. But they work out.

Sachiko: That's... good to know.

Kiba: *smiles faintly to her* You can keep waiting and waiting and waiting for the answer to come and aunguish over it and wonder what would happen.... or you can just do it and get it over with it.

Sachiko: *smiles a little back* 's more just making the decision to do it, really.

Kiba: Yeah. I know. *smiles more*
