Training (open to Akatsuki)
Itae was going blind. She knew this. For the most part, like any of the other Akatsuki, she was at a level that most people couldn't hope to reach, even with her diminishing eyesight. However, that didn't mean the thought of losing her sight wasn't troubling. If there was one thing she could honestly say that she enjoyed, it was reading. The thought of one day having her eyes only capable of seeing jutsus and inflicting tsukiyomi, and never able to read again...it bothered her more than she'd ever voice to anyone. Even to Kisa.
Even so, she'd begun preparations in the event that she did lose her sight faster than anticipated. Some of that involved training physically. Some of it involved training her other senses.
At the moment, she was practicing taijutsu blindfolded. She'd copied hundreds of fighting moves over the years, and it showed in her motions. Yet, for all that, it wasn't a strength of hers. Genjutsu, and especially the sharingan, were what had earned her way into Akatsuki. Which was, perhaps, why she wanted to improve herself at taijutsu. There was room for improvement.
