Guess who made the mistake of taking a nap earlier tonight and now can't sleep. Agh. I'll pay for it tomorrow, but that's why God invented the coffee bean, I guess.
On another topic, I have this random habit of reading all kinds of weird Wikipedia articles while at work. For starters, today (or technically yesterday) I looked up game theory, followed by quantum game theory, followed by quantum pseudo-telepathy. Yes,
this exists, and I have proof - I skimmed the article! - but I still don't understand any of it. I can tell you that it's quantum, it isn't actually telepathy and that Alice and Bob have very bad taste in party games, though!
All these bits and pieces of weird data I keep running across are just validating my theory that sufficiently advanced physics is indistinguishable from making stuff up as you go along. (Like string theory. Oh we live in a universe with eleven dimensions and there's supergravity which affects tiny tiny tiny 1-dimensional strings that vibrate and occasionally are tied up into knots, like pretzels. This is different from saying that the world is actually a giant holographic goldfish bowl, because in string theory, there are a lot of fancy equations.)
...*reads entry* What in blazes am I talking about?
Here, let's do something more normal.
CHARACTER ASSOCIATION MEME! EDIT: Incidentally, is it becoming a trend to make visual novels by throwing a ton of authors at the project? Rewrite (next game by Key, famous for Clannad) started the ball rolling by recruiting Ryukishi07 of Higurashi and Umineko as well as the author of Cross Channel, which I'm unfamiliar with. Now Chunsoft is making a sound novel called
TrickXLogic for the PSP with 7 famous mystery authors? (Not that I've ever heard of any of them, but I'm not really a fan of mysteries.) How will they keep the tone consistent at all? Not to mention that I think "sound novel" is Ryukishi07's particular phrase, it's not nice to steal it.
Oh and I just noticed the main character (?) goes barefoot like L from Death Note, nice job Chunsoft.
I'm already curious to see how Rewrite will turn out.. Judging by the authors, it's going to be a hugely long, heart-warming epic with a disaffected narrator about the importance of family. There will be a poorly explained deus ex machina to reverse the horrible murders by cute girls who just need hugs, as well as some awesome music. Eventually there will be an anime adaptation and everyone will cross their fingers that it'll be by Kyo-Ani instead of Deen. Does that cover everything?
