Hayate no Gotoku (Hayate the Combat Butler, a cute comedy series in Sunday) is
getting animated! Yay! ;_;
There's also an original short Hayate movie airing at Sunday's 'WHF' event this month, cool. :)
Shonen Sunday treats their series so much better than Jump does, it's not even funny. (I really don't like Jump's gimmick of chopping series very early on.) And they even host the first chapter of each currently running series on their website, along with some nice wallpapers, so you can check it out to see if it interests you. (Well, the longer-running series, at least; Darren Shan's first chapter isn't up yet but hey, it just started).
I kinda want to start a Hayate comm on LJ...
I'm also very happy that Magic Kaitou started running again, even if it's only for a short while. :) Detective Conan's mysteries were starting to get a little tired (not the characters, the murders of the week). I'd prefer it if we saw Kaito fighting the same Organization Shinichi does, since it's a major fandom theory, but this guy 'Nightmare' is fun too! If you compare the original Magic Kaito and the new series, the first is a lot more comedic and out-and-out silly (Kaito faces a witch and a robot) while the new one is closer to Detective Conan in tone. Which makes sense, of course XD
Oh and I have a theory about Eisuke Hondou's secret from Conan (spoilers for latest chapters).
I think he's a girl masquerading as a guy! I don't know if it's possible, but he changed in front of Ran, which I think he would have been too embarassed to do otherwise.
I don't know about that dot though.
