Despondent, etcetera?
Am fine, probably. Not very excited about anything at all though, and sick of cycle of glum/overdrinking/work (reminded of 'Sick Cycle Carousel' by Lifehouse. Ah, Lifehouse). I think perhaps I need to... read more? Yes. Perhaps if I read Mrs Dalloway, and then Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. Mrs Dalloway is reserved for emergencies like this.
Speaking of emergencies, my grandad is in the emergency ward for acute pancreatitis/ jaundice and according to latest reports is "not out of the woods yet", a little worrying as we hadn't been made particularly aware that he was anywhere near the woods. They've postponed the endoscopy so it sounds like there may be some complications. Not used to being on the patient's end of things and not knowing what's happening. As ever my emotional response to actual important things has completely shut down and locked me out.
