(no subject)
I haven't updated in "ages", mainly because Twitter is in my life now rendering LJ almost unnecessary.
Brief summary;
POSI
-I ran into my old best friend from primary school who appears to be working at LGI - portering - so we vaguely had lunch together and that was good. I should probably try to rekindle a relationship.
-We have finally got Tom "Fit" Bush and the mysterious "Julian" involved in the band, and they can both play their instruments, and they are both nice. And Alex isn't going travelling anymore so we won't be needing a new pianist, hurrah. And I think we might be getting Mike in on other-guitar to flesh things out a bit (10-piece, I KNOW). And the recording is SO *nearly nearly* ready.
-We had a pleasant weekend minotaur of Leeds/Northampton/Nottingham with Glissando and it was lots of fun, pretty good crowds at all and no major mishaps. My mummy & my auntie came to the Northampton one and seemed to enjoy it. We had a very lovely time at Tom's in front of the fire and in the snow. There was an evil cat that was actually a person in catclothes and it watched me :(
-Snow! So much snow! We had a big snowball fight and I got hit in the eye by some nasty boys and we made a lot of enormous snowlders. Someone (not us) rolled a snowlder into the road, and a range-rover crashed into it. IT WAS AMAZING. Then later a car *nearly* crashed into it and BEEPED at it. As though it was going to get out of the way! Ahaha, haha. It did not get out of the way!
NEGI
-I have started my new job and it is okay though I am now having horrible cataclysmic panics every so often at my relative lack of freedom (when compared to temping) and my anxiety that, because I am now doing this in a permanent position, I will just end up stuck FOREVER and the thought is unbearable. If it is this bad at 22, will it be worse when I reach middle age etc, or will I have becomed numb by then? And which outcome is worse?
-I cannot locate the beginning of Neighbours 2009 (Australian) series online so I do not know the outcome of the (SPOILER ALERT) rafting accident and it serves me fucking right for getting so ahead of myself/England on youtube.
-I am drinking too often, still.
