So, I didn't meet that deadline. We took a lovely family vacation, fought some crazy battles, and suffered the loss of friends.
One slipped into dementia, slowly forgetting his family.
Another passed away in November of last year.

Losing those we hold dear is difficult at best. The symptoms I have seen in those with Dementia frighten and sadden me. A friend of over fifty years was telling me that the most heartbreaking moment in her life was reaching to hug her mother and her mother not just not recognizing her anymore, but being being afraid of her. As difficult a time as my father had with his physical health in the months before he passed away, he was mentally alert and responsive until a couple weeks before his time came.
I think I have logs from the old DSS, too!

So I'm trying something with speech to text. It doesn't like to keep going I'm afraid. But I'm only just saw your post, because I thought to myself I needed I needed to speak to my journal after my breakfast nearly killed me. yeah I have a hiatal hernia And it's like the first bite of any food I take wants to get lodged in my esophagus and make me die. LOL anyway it is so hard to see people that we love forgetting forgetting not just friends but their closest loved ones. I feel for what your friend went through. I wish that there was some way to reverse it period of course as a writer I immediately think of the plot to the latest movie version of planet of the apes and realize that that's what the scientist in that movie was doing trying to come up with a cure for Alzheimer's.

Yeah I I jump all over the place all the time Anyhow thank you for your find words. I miss playing but I can't bring myself to do it. Not after losing Jax And then Deanna as well.
