Unexpected and paid freedom.
For those who don't know, or have forgotten: I clean houses for a living. This morning I had a replacement address, because my usual client is on vacation. I ring the bell and the voice of a sleepy old man rings through the speakers:
"Yes, who's there?"
I explain.
"Oh no sorry, we have help on Thursdays. bye!"
Me; all confused, calls her boss and tells her what happened. She tells me to try again if it doesn't work, you can go home.
I tried again, but the man didn't want help today, even if it meant he wasn't going to get any tomorrow either.
So I went home!

I explain.
