In Which My Life Is A Meg Ryan Movie

It’s every Southern girl’s dream to have a beautiful wedding, right? Right! But for one plucky young Belle, the dream seems more like an acid trip! With 20 weeks to plan, and the groom off at sea, her help lies with a misfit wedding party spread across the Mason-Dixon and her less-than-thrilled mother. And then there’s the matter of the groom’s mother…

With her friends behind her, and tulle in her future, can she pull of the wedding of her dreams? And even if she does, will anyone come! In this new comedy from the producers of "50 First Dates" and "There's Something About Mar-"

Wait a minute. This isn't a movie. This is my life! Tho if anyone has Julia Robert's number, please get that to me immediately.

So, yeah. Jack and I are getting married, concretely, in February, sometime between the 6th and the 16th. I have no idea how to start planning, since he's in bootcamp and we're working by letters, and I don't want to overwhelm him. Once he's in A-School and can call me on a daily-bidaily basis, I think it'll be easier. I asked at Yahoo answers, and they all said "Yeah, if you have your mom, you're good, most guys don't get all that into it." One person said save things like cake tasting and registering for when he's home over Thanksgiving and Christmas, which I thought was brilliant.

Of course, the person who informed me the Navy has the highest divorce rate of all the military branches was less than helpful, but...I'll write to Jack about that. I really don't see that for us. It's weird, I know people are worried about that for us, but I'm not. I'm sure everybody thinks they'll never divorce, even the ones who end up doing so eventually, but I cannot even think of a time or a reason why I wouldn't want to be with him.

But that aside, you're going to be hearing a lot more wedding talk in the coming months, so if you want to avoid it, say so now!
I'm excited. I'm really happy. I'm nervous as hell, but I want this. I don't think I've ever wanted something more in my life.

Edit: I texted Chris, Jack's best friend about the divorce rate thing? His reply: "That's because the navy has the most closeted gay men."
If I was a polygamist, I would marry that kid too. XD
