This was delightful, mystery writer. I really enjoyed action!Susan, and smart!Susan and chair-weilding Edmund. The mystery of the green snake and danger coming from the North as well as the play on the fairy tale were all lovely. Also, interesting that Susan remembers it more than Edmund. The Marsh wiggle community was so well done with excellent worldbuilding. The sense of place and atmosphere were terrific. Filling out Susan's staff and guard with loyal Narnians -- squirrels, Centaurs, Dwarfs and all were also so appreciated. And, yes, I did very much appreciate the more subtle question at the end of how unthinkable it would be for Narnian soldiers to make war upon a Narnian village. I appreciated that aside very, very much. Well done.

Thank you! I had to struggle not to use any of the characters I developed in Carpetbaggers, I must admit. And I can't get past the idea of sticky politics clinging to them during the bulk of their reign...

This was such a delightful story. I loved that it was Susan doing the rescue and Edmund was the captive. The names of the Wiggles were very fitting and I liked Minnow very much (more awesome Narnian females).

And the way the whole thing was resolved was perfectly suited for Susan since it didn't involve bloodshed (except for destroying the shapeshifter). Also terrific were all the little touches tying the Evil from the North, perhaps a little hint of things to come (with the snake and emerald ring) in the far future with the Lady of the Green Kirtle?

I find it impossible to write Narnia without awesome females, I'm afraid...

And yes, lots of hints of things to come.

Congrats on guessing me--I guess I kind of do have a recognizeable style...

Hee! I loved seeing Susan rescuing Edmund for once, and the Marsh-Wiggles were fantastic!

Oh, thank you, thank you! Clever!Susan, espionage!Susan. And the Wiggles being incited to rebellion, tsk tsk. Really, though, I adored that you brought in fairytales from our world (the tale of the magician with the heart in the box is Russian, isn't it?) and made it Narnian, what with shapeshifting into a Wiggle.

I do love the way you (through Susan) approached this, and that it was with Wiggles, who appear so rarely that it's shameful. Thank you so, so much!

Yay, I'm so glad you liked it! And I do think the Wiggles deserve more screen-time in the fandom.

Yay! Intrigue and Susan being clever and Marsh-Wiggles being bewitched! I love the use of the heart outside the body, and the ring! With the snake and the green stone! And the threat always comes from the North.

And Edmund fighting so cheerfully with the chair. I loved it. :D

Edmund is very pleased to have some weight to throw around, finally. (Which is still not that much, mind.)
