LUCY IS SO AWESOME!! WE NEED MORE FICS WHERE LUCY IS AWESOME!! This was brilliant! I really, really, really loved it!

Everything was great. From Aravis wonder at everything the king and queen did, Lucy and Ed's easy siblingship (is that even a word? It should be.) to how awesome Peridan was.

“It’ll probably scar over and you’ll never find a wife.” --LOL! This line is awesome. And I suddenly really wanted Peridan/Aravis fic. (How is that for rarepair for ya?)

All in all, brilliant fic. I really like the idea of Lucy training Aravis to be a knight.

Anyway.

I thought it was interesting how you portrayed Aravis. Not many people write her as timid! But I liked how she rather came into her own there at the end, when she rushed for her horse and everyone thought she was going to run away but she was just getting her sword. That was neat!

Overall, I liked this. It was nice! :)

Thanks! Aravis is one of my favorite characters, and she always seems so sure of herself--but the culture shock in Archenland must have been crazy, so I went with it.

Omg I'm thrilled! This is lovely! So many things to love about it, too. Lucy as Narnia's first lady knight. Edmund and Lucy fighting back to back, and their super-awesome camaraderie. The awesome interactions between Aravis and Peridan. Lucy the diplomat. Edmund being locked in the tower.

I really love, most of all, the characterisations here. I love the easy confidence Lucy has in every setting. It's nice to see an Edmund who is more relaxed as king. Aravis being uncertain of her place but wanting to find it is a lovely choice for her. And Peridan! I like him quite a lot. I like that Lucy and Edmund wouldn't commit treason by going against Peter, but I especially like Lucy's quest. There's a story I want to hear more about!

This is super-lovely, and it made my day. Thanks so much. You did fantastic things with the request. It makes me happy. :)
