I love the practicality you've shown in how they've divided the tasks of ruling a kingdom amongst themselves: Peter in the wars, Susan in the ballroom, Edmund in the courts, and Lucy doing all the damn paperwork. This is a kingdom that RUNS damnit!

Other things:
-Susan recognizing and acknowledging something she wants, but giving it up for her country
-Edmund making Lucy eat her vegetables!
-they know how to kill, ASLAN SHOWED THEM HOW.

This is amazing. I especially liked Lucy. She seemed so real, (and perhaps the most sane?) Edmund was all out of wack and I couldn't quite figure out why... Is just because it's winter or... how far into their reign are they? (Or maybe that's the point? Time is so fluid that they don't quite know... hmmm...)

This is so good. It's so very real it almost breaks my heart. They don't seem happy! And they have so much baggage!! And Emund, oh Edmund! She really broke him, and it's so sad.

I loved the part where Lucy thought about how Aslan showed them how to kill! How very apt.

This just made me sad (but in a good way, since it's written so superbly.) I'm not sure why, or if you even intended it to be sad. But for some reason... But don't mistake me. IT'S SO VERY GOOD!

... you - this - ghlaksjdlghsdfkshdglsdkjfldskjfsd AWESOME how did you manage that I mean! I gave you like a trillion prompts and you did so many of them! and you even took into account the ones you didn't do! and it was all pretty and beautiful and awesome and I'm having trouble with coherency, could you tell? ahglskdjfdlkgghs SO AWESOME. *glee*

*deep breaths* Okay. Now for an attempt at coherency.

Lovers, if she had them, were neatly and discreetly arranged, like flowers in a vase, and anything that appeared to disturb her circles was quietly plucked away.
This is what your Susan is like, and it's fascinatingly wonderful. She's so precise and calm and a little quiet. She doesn't take unnecessary risks, she knows what she is (splendid!), and at the same time she has her vulnerabilities. She shows up in only two scenes but she is just so Susan. And I liked the little touch that even though time is hard to keep here in Narnia, Susan knows her age better than Peter, because that's Susan.

Well, I think you know by now that I fangirl you, so no surprise there. :-)

I love this, the way you capture the flavour of the canon while adding a darker, sadder tone, always keeping the balance between saying too much and too little. Gorgeous. &hearts

he couldn't move, couldn't even fight, caught by her gaze like a mouse mesmerised by a snake. Like a rat mesmerised by a snake.

Edmund is still berating himself, is he? :-(
