There are a lot of little snippets I love in this story but the hat song is one of my favourites for sure! I'm planning to put up the full version (with many verses to go along with the chorus you see here) on my LJ sometime in the next couple of days. :)

And I honestly didn't mean for there to be so much drinking involved, I swear. It just sort of... happened. In a later chapter they visit a cobbler's - originally, that was a pub, too. Whoops.

What a bunch of musical drunks! :-) I was just thinking how horrified Harold and Alberta would be if they ever saw Eustace like that.

Ha, the poor Scrubbs would probably have a series of heart attacks if they found out what their son was up to in all of these pubs.

And so Eustace goes bar hopping. I take back what I said earlier, autumnia was right… this wasn’t a good idea, Eustace.

I love the progression of their conversation from one bar to the other, and thus ending with the most important of all: hats. And the song that goes with it!
