Newbie bearing fic

So I'm new and thought I'd bring with me a little ficlet to ease the introduction?
Title: A Bare Approximation Of What Might Have Been (or maybe once was)
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: I don't own it.
Summary: A series of moments that led to an ending and a beginning. Mostly Gen.

‘I do not-I’m not,’ you waver and cast a furtive glance at the legendary High King Peter, who looks terrifically young. )

Thanks so much! And it's something I imagine would prove weird not just for them, but for everyone, I mean they lived an entire life with more or less complete responsibility for an entire nation, and then went back to being school kids.
I can't help suspecting that Edmund is the sought that wants to know EVERYTHING, I think that's his coping device for what happens to them... but I won't go into depth about that or anything. Don't worry.
much love

Tendencies to ramble are good! :D
And yes, I can totally see Edmund being like that! I loved the movie and think the cast was brilliant, especially since so many of them are so young, but I wish they dwelt a little more on how monumental what the Pevensies are going through is. They all have different ways of dealing with it, and I'd like to fic it one day, but just from what you said there I think you should too (erm... am a bit envious that you managed to write brain!sex in a comment better than I could with an entire story).
btw: friends? I mostly lurk, but I'm trying to shed the habit.

This was gorgeous. The second person is very, very interesting, and very rare. Hardly anyone ever writes second person.

I love the reference to their elaborate trap for the Telmarine cavalry from the movie at the end. :D

Second person is fun! It gives you so much flexibility, but the fact that you're addressing the character constantly helps you to treat them as a person. lol.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!

This is fantastic, so insightful! I'm especially fond of the bit with Edmund and his musings on time and ‘I’m only a kid, I’m too young to understand.’ And protective Peter with Lucy sitting on his lap and jealous Caspian. And of course the last bit, which is just made of so much win. Just amazing, really, I love it!♥♥♥
