List your current six favorite songs, then pick six other people that have to do the same.
These are listed in no particular order. I'm limited to chart music as I still have no sound on my computer; it's a good thing the top 40 has had some gems in it recently.
1. Sex Is Not the Enemy, Garbage. I can't help singing along and jumping up and down. "A revolution is the solution" indeed, Shirley Manson. Also, what is her secret to looking almost exactly like she did fifteen years ago?
2. American Idiot, Green Day. Yes, it has become 1995 again. I think American Idiot will be seen to be a classic political song of this era in future decades and it damn well should be. And I loved the symbolism of the video with the colours running from the flag.
3. Other Side of the World, kt tunstall. It's an expatriate song. Applies so much to so many.
4. Every Day I Love You Less and Less, Kaiser Chiefs. Actually, all three Kaiser Chiefs songs which have been in the charts recently. Excellent. Very, very catchy.
5. Somewhere Else, Razorlight. The chorus has been stuck in my head for weeks except I keep changing the words.
6. Shot You Down, Audio Bullys featuring Nancy Sinatra. I'd say something about this but I think my brain has shut down for the night.
The six people I'd like to see do this meme are:
