Omg. I am SO tired of this "rishta" stuff. Who the hell are you to have SO many requirements when you've got your family looking for a girl for you? My family and family friends are hard at work for me and my sister. Anyone they hear that's looking for a girl, they call my mom and are like, 'can we show your daughters' pictures? The boy's this old and he has this job,' etc etc. The latest one from my uncle? Twenty-six years old, works at Boeing, and wants a tall girl. Obviously, she has to be pretty, too. (There are other requirements as well.) Hello, what? Tall? You'd be freaking lucky to get any girl when you've got all these requirements! Augh. And they're ALL like that. Late twenties, early thirties, desperate for a wife except they have a long list of assets she should have. Fantasy girls, all of them!

I am so tired of it. Generally, my reaction when my mom tells me about some new guy that she knows is looking for a wife is "no thanks." Sometimes it's a "HELL NO" except without the 'hell' because my mom doesn't like me to use 'curse words'. I'm just shocked at the gall people have when they go about this. The whole biodata thing drives me nuts and fine, if that's how you want to go about it for your own life, good for you. I don't want to find someone that way. They're not going to be facts on a sheet and then pictures for me. I'm going to find someone myself, thank you, even if it takes me into my mid-thirties. Get that through your head, family and family friends!

family, rant
