The end of spring break signified the beginning of another of those hell weeks for me. Tuesday was the birthday (on which I turned OLD), and pretty much did nothing but work until Friday afternoon. Thursday evening, I went out with a few friends for a pizza dinner, then Friday was Greek dinner and ice cream with another group of friends (both to celebrate my birthday). Since I'd gotten very little sleep over the week, I was hoping to get some this weekend. That didn't happen. (Also, thank you all for birthday wishes! <3 you guys)
Saturday was full of studying and getting ready for/playing Holi. Holi was TONS of fun! And, considering this is the first year it's been done at Trinity, it went really well! I was so excited to see people there and enjoying themselves. One of the boys who came also e-mailed us (the officers of the Hindu Student Union, who organized it) to tell us how much fun he had and how much he appreciated it! That made me feel really special because we actually accomplished something! (of course, now, I'm still trying to get paint out of weird areas, like my ears) Later Saturday, we went out to dinner for another friend's birthday.
Sunday was full of field tripping goodness. Well, sort of goodness. It wasn't nearly a bad field trip, just long. Also, at some points, the wind was so hard, I was hard pressed not to tip over. I kept falling or bumping into people, including my partner and professor. >.> I got back intact, however, and then studied again. At this point, I just don't care what I make on my philosophy exam tomorrow. I'm so damn tired of that class, it's driving me crazy!
I've been trying to keep deep thoughts out of my head lately, just because I don't feel like I have time to really think about them properly, and just letting them creep in would be more harmful than helpful right now. It's been a fairly successful venture so far.
Oh! Spotlight is on Saturday. They're turning it into a competition, which really makes me mad. We were completely happy doing this for fun. We didn't need the stupid money thing tacked on. Hell, they're going to charge people to come watch! Now, if you were my friend and at this school, would you really pay two dollars to watch one dance out of a whole show? Most people won't. And they're not letting any of the Greeks do anything, which also significantly drops regular audience members. Gah. I just think they're ruining a pretty good thing.
Okay, it's time for bed. Gotta be rested for my exam! (yeah, like I care any more)
