It's a goat. I made it.

So sometime last year I started this little project without any other reason aside from, 'because I felt like it.' ... and I had just gotten laid off, haha. And then I got another job and promptly left it alone. Anyway, I really enjoyed making stop motion puppets back during school, and I had been doodling this character for a while now, so I decided to combine the two and make a plush puppet(ish...) of this character. It's not actually a full puppet since I got lazy/wasn't thinking far ahead enough when I started, so neither the tail nor ears are pose-able, but everything else, even the fingers to a small extent, stay in place.

The back of its head is pretty much the only part in which I cringe at- otherwise, this came out pretty damn okay. Fingers and horns are made from that air-dry paper clay stuff, head is carved out of balsa wood, and the rest is made out of fleece, aluminum armature wire, furniture foam and the arms are wrapped in that self stick bandage stuff that I just painted over with acrylic.

Probably not gonna animate anything with it, mostly because I don't have any ideas... but also because the 'skeleton' is just aluminum wires and is in no way a true legit puppet that would really last through anything (my previous puppets which have been used in animations are pretty much in pieces). Just glad I finally finished it, since it was looking pretty creepy until I picked it up again. Only took a year, haha. Might make another one- not the same goat guy, but maybe something that stays in the same style. Maybe a monkey?

Also, I only had my point and shoot today- this weekend I might take better pics on the slr.
