Soon Hing Farm Auction, March 1st
I think the funniest thing was how there was a designated parking area behind the barn, signs pointing to it and all, and... about six cars were parked there. The rest went all the way up the road. I forgot what my pops said, but it was something about how farmers always had the worst parking skills. I have never seen so many hick pickups in one place before, ever.
The auctioneer would stand next to whatever they were auctioning off, holding a post with an orange flag, and whenever they had to walk across to the next line, it'd look like a gaint tour group, following this flag around. So surreal.
Pretty much though... sigh.
I made Angela cry when I was telling her about this since she and her family used to come over a lot when we were kids, and I was like, 'bitch, how do you think I feel? that was my life.'
God, now I'm actually gonna have to buy vegetables in the summer. Who does that?
