(no subject)
so, its been nearly a month since i've posted. lol. besides hiding and being ashamed like a dumbass, i've just been really busy, as per usual.
suffice to say, this winter break as been a TREMENDOUS improvement over last year. but i'm really too lazy to go over it, so unless people need a blow-by-blow, im going to skip over doing that. :p
as for the new year, i've got alot of things ahead of me. i'm trying to get more into writing fics, doing my few cosplays, working, playing more video games, getting better grades, updating this more, playing bass, doing more art, and, o yeah, SLEEPING occasionally. hehe my high expectations for myself rears its ugly head yet again.
So for cosplaying at Sakura Con this year, its basically 100% that i'm going as Yuri from Kyo Kara Maoh. chaoticvein is going to be my wolfram, of course, and we're going to be working on the costumes over the next month while she's still here. and so i continue my double tradition of doing a pair with her and crossplaying an innocent dark-haired boy thats more powerful than he realizes. ohhhhh good times.
the other cosplay that i'm hoping to do is Navi from the legend of Zelda. Now i know this confuses alot of people, because there's never been a human form of navi, but you know what, i'm going to make it work. my plans are to buy a pretty white/light blue dress and then modifye it with lots and lots of tulle. so basically i'll be your non-descript fairy girl, but carrying around a sign that says "HEY, LISTEN" on it. i figure it should work out all right.
the reason that i mentioned writing fics is because i have been in the midst of writing a goku/kougaiji one for.... nearly 4 months now? and its not even 2 pages long. but, in the course of trying to write it, i have found that there are jems in the dark and scary fic world. (and btw, i blame chaoticvein again for this) and the want to read good ficage and maybe even write a bit myself has led me to want to get into other fandoms. like the FMA manga, phoenix wright, and maybe even yu-gi-oh >.< i want to know whats out there~! dangit! and i know that getting into these other fandoms will probably slow my ability to finish any fics more than what has already happened, but i guess thats just the price i pay, huh?
on a sidenote, part of the reason that the YGO fandom thing has come up now, and, lets say, not YEARS ago like some would have wanted /nudgenudge is because of a sticker. thats right, a STICKER. the other day, mina and i went shopping at wajs, and i conviced her to buy this YGO sticker sheet for no apperent reason (except the hawt pic of yami-yugi on the back that she still needs to scan in). that night, she was giving out a few of the stickers, so i got one of yami-yugi and stuck it on the back of my phone just for kicks. well, now that i know he's there all the time, i have a yearing for it. i read the first 6 or so chapters of it at mina's house, and have since been making headway in the abridged series. all because of ONE LITTLE STICKER.

oh, and fun fact in addition to all of that: not but a few minutes after i put that sticker on, yami decided to mind-crush my phone. lol. so now the hinge is broken and the top half flops around when open. i also have to use a rubber band to hold it closed. ahhhh, good times.
