Day 6 -- Favorite Episode of Your Favorite TV Show
I know I’m a day behind, but blame hell week. It’s making my life interesting.
Again, I can’t pick just one; I have a hard time picking one from each of what I’ve deemed my favorite series. So, I’ll try to keep the list brief.
From Voyager, it’s a tie; there are lots of eps I love -- Drive, Lineage, Endgame, Faces, Parallax, Caretaker… -- but I have to go with the eps which caused me to wear out the tapes. That would be Blood Fever and Day Of Honor. Being the shipper person that I am, these would be eps that I would wear out. For those who didn’t watch this show…well…Blood Fever was exciting. From the first ep I saw (which was the second), I firmly believed that Tom & B’Elanna should mix it up. In the 3rd season, Tom started hitting on B’Elanna (woot!), though she was sort of unresponsive. Anyway, in Blood Fever, she was basically infected with a mating disease and threw herself at Tom. I was STOKED. It proved that she was into him, too, even if she couldn’t fully admit it yet. So I watched that ep a LOT. It was even better because they kept up with that dating kind of storyline throughout the rest of the season. Which brings us to season 4, episode 3...Day of Honor. To try to make a long story short, Tom & B’Elanna wound up floating in space in environmental suits with their oxygen running out. As a result, they got to talking a bit, about how he was really into her and how she pushes people away. Anyway, last scene, they’re nearly unconscious but she has one thing she has to tell him, so that she can die with honor. Gasping for breath, she says, “I love you.” HOLY CRAP. Let me also say that as this ep went on, I was leaning farther and farther into the TV, with the remote in hand so I could fastforward through commercials, or rewind for key moments. The moment she said “I love you,” my mouth fell open and my hand went limp, causing me to drop the remote. No other moment in TV has caused this to happen before for me.
I honestly can’t pick a favorite ep of X-Files. While I love MANY of them, I don’t think that any one of them stands out for me more than any other at this point.
Smallville is the same way, though, I don’t LOVE as many eps. As far as the 8th & 9th seasons go, I like those much better.
As far as Friends go…I’d have to put The One With All The Thanksgivings, The One Where They All Find Out, The One That Could Have Been & The One With The Proposal as my tops.
The Nanny…I’d probably have to go with An Affair to Dismember. Not because it’s the absolute best, not have I watched it the most--though I have watched it quite a bit--but most because of Fran Drescher. The moment where she’s sitting on the couch, talking to Mr. Sheffield and she just breaks down…it just made me realize how much Fran has to offer as an actress. It was also a very touching moment and part of an important episode.
Who’s The Boss?…don’t know. I think one of my favorites is Frankie & Tony Are Lovers. Why, you ask? Because this is where Angela admits (albeit to a shrink) that she’s in love with Tony, and basically keeps it to herself for years. Yes, they flirt back and forth and lots of stuff happens, but Angela actually admitting that she’s in love with Tony is HUGE, and it makes it one of my favorites.
