This morning I emerged victorious in the epic battle for two eggo waffles.
It was an average friday morning. I woke went downstairs, watched a little tv while working on a scrap booking project I am involved in. I got hungry. Got up, pulled out a plate, knife, fork, butter and the syrup; all of the lovely tools and ingrediants(sp?) to consume an eggo waffle...the last two eggo waffles to be exact.
Something on the TV distracted me, I walked into the other room. Next thing I know my brother is in the kitchen toasting MY waffles, claiming they are his despite the fact that I had all the preparations ready for the waffle consuming. His argument was that because he was the one who put the waffles in the toaster, they were rightfully his. Bullshit I told him.
Well as they were toasting it was a struggle to see who could stand closest to the toaster in hopes to snatch the waffles the second they were done. But I had a plan. I knew that even if I were to be the first to grab the waffles, it would not be difficult for him to take them after that. So I threw him outside. Yes, I litteraly dragged my brother outside, slamed the door, locked it and proceeded to lock every other door in our house that leads outside. So while my brother was standing, pounding on our front door wearing nothing but his boxers while I savored every bite of my buttery, syrup doused waffles.
Ah the simple things in life...
