Well the workers are gone, which is good news to say the least. Things are still chaotic. Point in fact, when my mother and I speak, we refer to the period of time since the workers arrived and left as "the chaos."
I'm still smoking cigarettes, which isn't good. I'm going to give quitting another try tomorrow. I should be done with the cigarettes I have by tonight. Hear that? That's the sound of a broken record.
I've begun dieting in preparation for the Alaskan cruise coming up. Actually I had already begun dieting, and I intended to continue throughout the chaos, but though my intentions were pure, my will was waning. Actually it wasn't my will. My will was steadfast, it was circumstance that fucked me.
Hmm, my dad just left to go pickup someone at the airport. When I heard the familiar sound of the front door closing, I expected immediately afterwards to hear the even more familiar sound of the dog barking. Then I remembered, he's gone.
But anyway... I deposited the $3,000.00 check my grandfather gave me for Christmas yesterday. And I haven't spent it all yet, which is like a record for me lol. I also got my American Express credit card in the mail the other day. I don't really have any intention to use it. Well, that's not true. Alicia and I are going to go to Disney Land for spring break, I'll probably use it everywhere it's accepted for that, and then pay it all off before it revolves. It's actually a nifty card. You get 3% back when you use it at restaurants, 2% for travel, and 1% everywhere else. So if you don't ever carry a balance, you actually cost the credit card company money. :D
I was also thinking heavily about buying a laptop. Actually I've been intending to buy one for a long time, now. To be honest, I'm leaning heavily towards buying it from Costco. The reason being: I know I won't get screwed. I absolutely will not get screwed if I buy it from Costco. Having that assurance is priceless. Which is why Costco is such a successful company, I'd wager.
Anyway, I'm apparently going to some kind of softball game with Alicia and Ashley. According to Alicia, it will be fun. I don't really see how, but given that I'm often wrong, I'll give it a try.
Oh, I have a hemorroid. It's not a terribly bad one. I mean, I've never had one before, so I have no frame of reference, but it's not very painful and it doesn't look very big. But, if you see me walking funny, that's probably why!
