Upon arrival at Uchiha Sasuke's location, the team(5) was divided into two groups. Uzumaki Naruto and Inuzuka Kiba were to act as distraction, while Hyuga Neji, Akimichi Chouji, and myself infiltrated the Hidden Sound Village.
Uchiha was located by Neji; Chouji covered our infiltration into his room.
The plan went well until the arrival of Orochimaru. Events occured that I do not currently have time to describe in full. Sasuke was freed from the Kagemane no Jutsu by Orochimaru's arrival before Neji could completely cut off his chakra, and words were exchanged. Uchiha Sasuke has burned his bridges - or more specifically, his Konoha forehead protector. He has no wish to return to the Leaf village, and we were not in a position to persuade him otherwise.
Due to some miscommunication and a complete failure on my part, Neji has recieved a curse seal from Orochimaru. I am not proud to say that it was our escape ticket.
Neji is currently in a state of delirium. We are all in varying states of poor health, but Neji is in the worst condition by far. It is of utmost importance that we return to the village in all haste, for the sake of his life.
