Jo Chen's "In These Words 1"

I wanna get out of the fishbowl, growing old
Don't wanna be bothered
'Cause I am meant to fly
It won't end like this

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT~

This week my new acquisition arrived: Jo Chen + Kuchikuneko (Guilt|Pleasure)'s doujin, "In These Words".
SO I'LL SPAM YOU GAIZ WITH PICS AND PICS AND GUESS WHAT?
MORE PICS. *u*

Because I'll also post about my copy of Hamletmachine's comic "STARFIGHTER" later, which arrived like, a month ago. ♥
I've seen people bashing the story, and the characters, and the lack of something original in terms of a yaoi story, after reading the first chapter. I don't see why ._. It's kinda hard reading something like 20 pages and being able to judge if it's original or not. To get the attention of fangirls there must be buttsecks, guys. But well, we'll come to that later.

HERE WE GO~!

First of all, it was bought from brazilian's number one yaoi fan (okay, just kidding, but she's indeed great anyway), Tanko, who runs Blyme Yaoi, Brazil's number one yaoi site (this time it's true). She made some deals with Guilt|Pleasure to buy 20 copies to re-sell online -and as a result she got some extra goods ♥ AND THAT'S WHY I LOVE BUYING FROM HER. Except for the fact that everything she sells ends in less than 24h. So yea, gotta be quick.
c:
Have fun!

[Skip to the ending for the final words on the doujin~!]

USELESS PICS ARE USELESS.

Back of the huge... mass of goods that came together, aka the back of the clearfile, showing Guilt|Pleasure's logo DO. WANT.
BUT I DO HAVE IT. WAIT--

LOOK AT SO MANY STUFF. ;A;
Left to the right, top to bottom, the clearfile, then the button (covered by the lilac small card), and the doujin itself + the signed card.

Then a closer look at the clearfile (which is the cover to the doujin as well) at everything. I fell in love with it the first time I saw that cover. Needless to say, I made my mind as to buy it or not IN HALF A SECOND.
It's so fucking pretty. It looks better live. BECAUSE I SUCK AT TAKING PICS, YKNOW.

There were three clearfile options, and I were really stuck between this one and another. I would choose the other option, because I already had the skull image in the doujin cover, if only it wasn't out of stock ;A; (The third one was the drawing of the card, which I wouldn't choose because, well, I already had the card)

Then the button! AWWWWWW.
I could choose this one out of three as well. ♥ You see, I must have some kinda problem with skulls... So does Katsuya. D:
And in the right the lilac card going in with the doujin and the button, with cute neko Katsuya and the adress to the circle's page.

And the doujin. ;A; SHIT. I'M SO TURNED ON BY THAT IMAGE. JO CHEN, WRY SO GOOOOD.
See how it's textured? Even if you can't see it, believe me when I say it is, kthx. The back is also textured, with those black curves (the ones you can see in the clearfile) in high-relief. ♥
SO. FRIGGING. PRETTY.

NOW MY FUCKING FAVORITE
HOOOOLY CRAP. SEE THE SIGNATURE IN SILVER? FUCK YEA. IT'S SO GOOD I DIDN'T EVEN OPEN IT ;A;
HEY, MR. RAPIST, WATCH THAT WANDERING HAND~

Samples, samples, samples~
So yeah, it's not all images. The first pages are text - text - comic - text - text - comic, then it's comic till the end (or something).

Have fun reading (click to get it bigger) + "OH AIN'T I SEXEH, BEING THREATENED BY A KNIFE 'N ALL"

Final thoughtsI payed 25$ (making the conversions from real, my currency, to dollars) + shipping (which wasn't expensive, considering it was here in Brazil already) = 29$.

Considering the quality of the work in terms of materials (really thick and textured pages inside the doujin and textured, thick, beautiful cover), I don't think it's pricy. I mean, I'm not a doujin regular buyer (first one I bought, LOL), but I know "normal" doujinshis (aka fandom doujinshis) range through 7~15$, at least most of the ones I end up crossing ways with... And I doubt they have this kind of quality. PLUS, we have to remember Jo Chen is not our normal doujinka, is she? She's no one less than the artist responsible for Devil May Cry (at least some, I think) and Fable III artwork and Buffy comics. Not to mention the others. So, yea, she has the right to ask for more in her work. ANOTHER THING: in which doujin will you find that artwork? HUH?

And that's if I don't consider all the extra stuff that came with it. Clearfile + SIGGGGNEEEEDDDDD fantastic card + button? Yea, I think I'd even pay more.

Useless info: there's probably no more of this doujin to sell; the copies printed were about to end when Tanko (the one who bought them to re-sell the copies, remember?) ordered them the second time. I'm so lucky. ;A;

TL;DR: I'M TOTALLY BUYING CHAPTERS TWO AND THREE.
AND I GOT A NEW HAIRCUT. WAIT, I DON'T EVEN

Now I'm considering buying Jo Chen's artbook, the deluxe set. SIXTY FRIGGING FIVE DOLLARSSSSSS.
But it'll probably be worth it. :D
I just have to start internship and I'll get money and I'll be able to buy it. D:

I'll make Starfighter post right away~
If my headache allows it. )':

Hope you drool enjoy it!
