Akemashite omedetô! Kotoshi mo yoroshiku!
(Or, in English, "Happy New Year's! Or else.")
With the new year already forty minutes underway, I thought it proper to list off some basic goals (alphabetized, of course) for 2007 CE. Some of these are going to sound familiar (as in I've tried them before, or perhaps you have), while some might perplex you. Here goes:
I need to...
+ Be more honest to myself, and to others.
+ Cry, at least once. Kinda coincides with the "being honest" part, really.
+ Drink a piña colada, at least once.
+ Focus on my studies, especially after how last semester almost fucked me fierce.
+ Grow my hair long, until I figure out what the hell I'm doing.
+ Hone my poker skills, in particular knowing when to quit.
+ Sleep more often, or on a more "regular" schedule.
+ Work (as in, motivate myself to get a job).
At the same time, I need to stop...
- Eating chocolate.
- Ignoring my health, insofar as fitness and also in regard to my skin.
- Listening to Avril Lavigne's "Sk8er Boi." Seriously.
Well, that's all I can think of for now. I'm sure more will come to mind in the near future. But yeah.
For anyone wondering about the "skin" thing, I was diagnosed last year with nevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome. It's a weird skin condition that ups my odds of catching skin cancer while gradually surprising my mouth, hands, face, and surely other areas with cysts, weird marks (hopefully nothing Stigmata-y), et cetera et cetera. Of course, I've been cavalier about my health, but as stated above, it's (probably) time for me to start caring. If only to make my mother less worried. -_-;
That said, akeomekotoyoromazafaka.
