Hello hpeeps and strangers
So.
I've talked about this with a couple of my dearest girls, particularly my Tammy, and it's something I've mulled for a while now.
I'm taking down the flickr account. After 3 years and over 71,000 individual image views, I just think it might be time to do something else a bit... smaller... or something. I dunno.
Here's the thing. I've got a large collection of image manips, and as much as I loved doing them, well, I never dreamed anyone would imagine they were actually real photos. I never really envisioned them being presented as such. A few months back I found my manips, sometimes very politely, and often very randomly appearing on various tumblrs... sometimes evidently taken for legitimate photos.
...which is nuts, btw, because, believe me, they aren't that good.
In several comments I found at random, people seemed to believe Rupert was drugged or drunk in a pick that I'd manipped to make him look loopier. Others seemed to think my pics proved he was cavorting with Emma Watson.
I suppose one could be accused of worse on all counts, but I just don't want anything I did for personal amusement to somehow reflect untruthfully on actors I really do like.
I thought I might be overreacting, and I am, but some individual tumblr posts had six and seven thousand reposts and comments. I just feel it's a bit... er... out of hand. I really only ever did the manips and drawings because I enjoyed them, and my friends seem to as well. It never occurred to me that they might... get loose and scamper across the internet being wildly interpreted as gospel truth.
So, it's all coming down mid October, and I will figure out what to do with my doodles next, but please, if there's anything you all would dig for your private downloading, please feel free to grab it while the grabbing is good.
