all my interviews, all my time.

First I would like to say that everything went a-okay last night. I showed up to the Hub at about 10 til 9 and was immediately setup to take their test. Let me tell you this test was insane. And by insane I really mean that it was stoopid, yes it gets the two o's, as it was that inane. There were 100 questions, most of which were opinion based questions. "What would you MOST likely do?" Crap like that. The answers you had to choose from were ill concieved and poorly worded, but I managed to make it through. Out of these questions only about 10 of them were non-opinion based and were all math oriented. All of these math questions were about determining percentages from the graphs you were given. I was told going into this test that only 2 out of 10 people pass it. Man, if that's true I weep for UPS as a company. They truly have some moronic employees. So that was the test. Next was my interview.

As this was only setup the night before I went in assuming it was going to be an informal interview and I was correct. I met with our sort manager who asked me a few questions about my education and work history, which segued into a general conversation about why I wanted to do this and how stupid the test I just took was. Apparently UPS is the company that teachers flock to when they become disgruntled with the BS that they have to deal with. My sort manager is no exception. The last question he asked me was if I was wearing safety shoes. I was. He picked up his phone, called the division manager and dragged me to that office where I immediately went through another interview. I only have one more interview to go and that has yet to be scheduled. I am not all that concerned with it.

Bret, my full-time manager, seems to think that last night will have been my last night as an hourly employee. Apparently, according to him, I'll be contacted sometime this week, have my last interview and start my management training. We'll see.
