(no subject)
This was one of those weekends where I didn’t really do anything, yet somehow I was busy the entire time. No naps, didn’t really sleep late in the mornings…what happened to the weekend?
The one event of note was that my youngest brother put together a nice evening to celebrate my oldest son’s birthday, and we saw the Blue Man Group: How to be a Megastar 2.1, or I have tagged it Blue Man Group: The Complex Rock Tour for Dummies. I really enjoyed spending the evening with my brothers and my oldest son, all of whom I don’t see often enough. I also really enjoyed the opening act, Mike Relm. But the show itself was basically The Complex Rock Tour, with all the lyrics up on the screens and all of the symbolism dumbed-down to the point where no thinking whatsoever is required (If the Blue Man Group had a show on ABC, this would be it…) There were still plenty of moments of fun and frolic, but having seen the show a couple of times before, I was disappointed that I was seeing it again, only with a new name.
Well, I'm hungry and I want to eat before bowling, so whatever else I have to say will just have to wait.
