I've written a few posts this week that never made the light of day because I get interrupted at work, and inevitably the browser where I'm writing the post gets hijacked by a clicked IM link, or accidentally closed while debugging a website problem. Oh, LJ's autosave kicks in at some point, but it ends up saving only the first section of the post, and never manages to capture the off-and-on hours afterwards.
So, here are the things that I wrote about and were lost this week:
- New television season, the news shows I checked out, and how the old favorites look in the new season.
- WoW, and how I discovered that somewhere along the way someone broke it, after clearing the Scarlet Monastery Armory with a group of 33-34 toons. (The boss at the end is 40).
- That the road to hell is paved with the bricks of good intentions.
- How I've been reminded that I am truly horrible at taking a compliment (because I'm very uncomfortable with them in general).
Today, one of our contractors, that I have known since my previous time here, is moving on. As a token of his respect, he gave me a little wicker totem-like thing of
Ganesh, whom I then had to read about so that I could figure out if it just meant he thought my nose made me look like an elephant. After reading about him, I told him he was far too kind.
Well, several interruptions later, this post is still here, but I shouldn't tempt fate any longer. With luck, maybe I'll catch up with those lost items above later.
