[ Just outside of Building 8, Naoto sits on a ledge with an umbrella over her shoulder. A few feet away, her Poliwag (yes, the Pokémon) splashes in the puddles, enjoying its outing. ]

[ ooc: Took a leaf out of L-mun's book and doing a real-time post. This is, finally, an attempt at making her interact with people. ]

*walking through the rain, hands jammed in his coat pockets, on the way back to Building 8. Notices Naoto and gives her a nod in her direction as a greeting*

[ Nods back. ] Good afternoon, Crane-san.

*walks over to her ledge, leans against it looking up at the sky*

Dreary today, isn't it?

[ She shrugs. ] I think it's refreshing. I like the sound the rain makes.

It feels nice on a warm day, yes...

*catches sight of the Poliwag*

Ah, that's Sammy. Apparently it's a "Pokémon", though I'm not familiar with that animal. It's like a tadpole, so I thought a splash in the rain might be good for it.

[ Said pet hops over to Crane and gives him an equally curious stare. ]

It certainly looks happy in the element.

*reaches out to pat the Pokemon on the head*

Of course. It won't bite.

[ The little animal makes a contented sound before running a couple of circles around Crane, then hopping back into the rain. Naoto laughs lightly. ]

It's taken a liking to everyone who's stopped to pet it.

*smiles, looking back up at the stormy sky*

Animals are nice, aren't they? Earn their affection and they'll forever stay by your side.

Better than humans, in any case.

[ She slides off the ledge and turns for the door main. ]

If the storm continues to get stronger, we'll be in for another flood. Best to get back inside soon. [ To Pokémon. ] Come on, Sammy.
