Last night I went out to dinner with Bethany and then we saw the movie Across The Universe. At first I thought it was going to be like a tribute to the Beatles, I don't think the trailer did it justice. I think it was one of the most creative films I've seen. It took place in the '70s and focused on this one group of people, who originally came from different places in America and around the world too with one being from Liverpool. The main character's name was of course Jude and they had other characters' names based off of Beatles' songs. There was this one part which was AMAZING in how they set up the scene. There's a cheerleader singing the song "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" while the camera is focusing on a jock and cheerleader. Right as I think to myself "Wouldn't it be cool if she was singing about the cheerleader?" she sings " Oh please, say to me, you'll let me be your man" and then the camera just focuses on the cheerleader. SO AMAZING!! I won't give away anymore spoilers but it was seriously an excellent and trippy movie that I will definitely be buying.
Yesterday was a good day besides that. I noticed this little house, or maybe it was a three flat complex, with these pretty flowers in front of it and just the way they were arranged with the grass outlining the dirt they were planted in, I realized in a moment what I'm living for. Sure love success and experiences are all on that list too but they aren't as immediate as looking outside and seeing how beautiful nature is.
