Author:NaomiPhoenix
Chapter(s):1-3/?
Pairing: Fem!Kirk/Spock
Summary:
When the Enterprise finds the ruins of a female worshipping people on a volcanically devastated planet, the future will be changed forever for two of the crew.
Chapter One
The very last planet on the furthest most end of the system was picked up so very much on the edge of the long-range sensors, that they had almost missed the entire system all together. The system was some 14 billion kilometres in length, from its red dwarf centre to its furthest orbiting satellite, with fifteen planets and nearly one-hundred moons. The largest moon orbiting the fourth planet from its ancient red sun was a former M-Class planet. On its surface, scans found it to be completely covered by a cold sea of lava, all its volcano silent for many millennia.
It was one almost unnoticeable area, about half a kilometre in length. A perfect and unnaturally formed semi-circle that peeked a real interest in the crew. The very top had caved in and a hi-res scan spotted some buildings hidden beneath. Spock theorised that it could have been a force-field that held back the lava, to protect part of an ancient civilisation. A small team was put together for the initial search and when they called back with all clear, the ruins were soon buzzing with activity.

Jim Kirk found himself just as excited about the ruins as the rest of his crew. It was the most interesting thing that had happened in the past few weeks, except for Scotty’s still blowing up last month. Not even the strong smell of sulphur in the air or the thick layer of dust that his feet sunk into with every step, could put him off. He followed Spock down a well used stair case into a great hall where scientists and engineers buzzed around consoles, trying to work out what they did, while xenolinguists attempted to translate ancient hieroglyphs. Large engravings and statues of the female humanoid form towered over them. Jim ran his hand over one of the many consoles that they had gotten to work with portable generators.
"This place is amazing, don't you think? This technology hasn't been used in 10,000 years and most of it is still working," Jim grinned, “Except for this one by the looks of it.”
"Indeed Captain. It is quite remarkable," was Spock's stoic replied.
"Any luck with this one yet, Ensign?"
"Not yet sir," she replied, “It’s not the only one being stubborn either. The console in that small chamber over the far side is refusing to work too. It’s a pity because that room has to be the most interesting by far. The walls are painted with the most beautiful artwork sir, they have barely faded. The dust has protected them.”
“Okay then, keep trying,” he replied, “Let’s go and have a look at that chamber Mr Spock.”

“The Ensign was correct. The artwork shows little sign of fading,” Spock commented, with eyebrows raised, on seeing just the small area that had been carefully washed clean. The artist’s had put a lot of time and effort into every detail of the mosaic.
“I’m afraid we have had no success with getting this one to work for us Captain,” Lt. Forrester, an engineer told Jim as he entered.
“I’m amazed that any of this works. Just do what you can,” Jim smiled and walked over to a glass-doored cubicle that housed more of the artwork, grabbing a glow stick out of the little pouch on his belt to see so he could see the inside better.
And that’s when it happened.
Chapter 2
It started seemingly as background noise, almost drowned out by the movement and chatter in the main hall. A low, subtle growl that soon become an almighty roar as an earthquake hit with violent force. The room immediately started to collapse in, forcing the people in the room to run for safety as large parts of the ceiling started coming down. Spock was the only one to notice the Captain had become trapped, one large piece of the ceiling that had narrowly missed Spock, had knocked the door of the cubicle that Jim had just stepped into closed. The console that had stubbornly refused to work earlier, lit up like a Christmas tree to fulfil its automatic programming.
The years of dust that had stuck to the door had given way and Spock could see Jim banging on the glass for a moment before bright light engulfed him. Even with all the noise around him he could still hear Jim scream’s, they were pain not fear like all the others.
He dodged falling debris to the door of the chamber and with the aid of the adrenaline pumping in his veins throwing the ceiling debris aside and tearing the door off its hinges. He could barely see the gold of the Captain's shirt through all the dust. Spock knelt down to check Jim's condition but was unable to as his world went black.

Upon waking, Spock was unsure for a few moments whether he was truly conscious or not, then a wave of pain hit every nerve in his body and he cried out before he could stop himself. He got his breath back quickly and did an inventory on his body. His limbs were all still there, his right leg was bruised down to the bone, his left shoulder dislocated when it had impacted with the ground, several bruised ribs and a mild concussion.
Then there was the body lying half under him, too soft and too small, he could feel breasts against his chest and long hair brushing against the side of his face. He shifted a little to reach over and grabbed the glow stick that was half held in her hand. He lifted it up as high as he could to survey the scene. Above them a large beam had fallen and protected them from the worst of the debris, but the little cubicle had been completely separated from the rest of the chamber by a wall of debris. For all Spock knew the room itself could have completely collapsed in, even the large hall outside could be filled too. They had no choice but to rely on the crew of the Enterprise for their rescue. All he could do now was wait for Jim to regain consciousness and to work out a way to tell his Captain she was now female.

That moment came all too soon. The first sign that Spock noticed that the Captain was waking up was the little tremors that shook her ever so slightly.
"Captain? Captain, can you hear me?"
"I feel like I’ve been chewed up, spat out and walked all over," came the croaky reply, “What happened?"
"Do not try to sit up. We are trapped in a confined space. The earthquake caused the room to cave in. We are trapped. Are you injured?"
"I don't think so. I just feel...odd, I suppose is the right word. We shouldn’t have expected it to all work properly after so long. What was it suppose to do anyway?"
Spock let out an audible gulp. He had no idea how to tell his Captain what it had done to him...actually her.
"Spock did you just gulp?" Spock didn't answer straight away so she shifted a little and realised she could feel what the machine had done. Jim could feel one of her breasts against Spock's chest and that when she moved her legs, there was the eerie feeling that something was most definitely missing.
"Oh God. Oh, you have got to be kidding me," the rising panic was clear in her voice, “It’s one thing to worship the female form but this is taking it too far. This is insane.”
"Captain, you must remain calm."
"Stay calm, stay calm! You must be joking! I'm a woman Spock! A woman!" in her panicked state Jim thrashed about, freeing herself from being half pinned under Spock and accidently kicking his bruised leg in the process. His cry of pain seemed to bring Jim back to her scenes.
"Spock! I'm so sorry. Did I hurt you?"
“I was already injured, Captain. You just reminded me.”
“Is your leg broken?”
“No, just deeply bruised. My left shoulder however, is dislocated.”
“Do you want me to try and pop it back in?”
“It would be unwise to attempt to do so, in such a confined and precarious space.”
“Oh, yeah, ‘course,” the croakiness had cleared out of her voice to make way for sheepishness. She started playing with her hair, then suddenly stopped to look at it. She grabbed a bit more then let out a sigh, “I have never been able to see my own hair without a mirror before.”
“Captain?”
“I’m not going to be able to change back, am I? This is divine retribution for something I've done.”
"Captain, it was merely an accident, not the actions of a divine being."
"You're not the one who got suddenly turned into a woman," she griped. She grabbed one of her breasts and gave it a squeeze, "Damn they are real."
Spock's eyebrows almost reached his hairline.
Chapter Three
The aftershock was barely noticeable at first, only causing a little dust to fall. Small rocks bounced off the broken rafter, landing on the far side of Jim. Then a sickening series of cracking noises accompanied by a long slow groan from far above them was the only warning something very large was heading their way. The unnatural dome that protected to ruins hadn't given out in the initial quake but they weren't so lucky the second time round. Spock pulled Jim on top of him seconds before the first impact hit exactly where she had been. The rolling movement popped Spock’s shoulder back into the socket but his startled hiss of pain was lost among Jim’s shocked scream and the roar of falling rock. The beam that had protected them from the first rock fall shifted allowing tonnes of rubble to come roaring in filling the space that Jim had been in moments before. The little room that they had had before closed in dramatically until the space they filled and a little more was all they had left.
"Great. Now this is real cosy," Jim complained loudly after a bout of coughing.
"Complaining is illogical Captain. It will not change our situation."
"Complaining makes me feel better."
"You have been altered on the chromosomal level Captain. It is likely that your body’s chemical balance will take some time to adjust."
"Are you calling me hormonal?!"
"To put it simply, yes."
"Oh and I suppose that is a great affront to your great Vulcan sensibilities, being stuck in a confined space with a hormonal woman," she snapped.
"As a matter of fact yes. I have no chance of meditating in the foreseeable future and being trapped with you in a confined space, in your overly hormonal state, you are projecting emotions that I am finding very hard to deal with!" Spock snapped right back.
“Bullshit! You’re going to use this as an excuse to take back the ship. You have never liked it that I got Captaincy of the Enterprise over you.”
“That is not what this is about but maybe I should. This change has obviously stopped you from functioning within a reasonable state of mind.”
Jim screeched and started thumping Spock, he fumbled a couple of times before he managed to seize her wrists.
"You will cease this display at once," he ordered but she changed her tactic to biting instead and caught his bottom lip. He bucked beneath her, trying to throw her off despite the fact that there was nowhere to thrown her off to. He released her wrists and grabbed fistfuls of her hair and twisted them around so she was beneath him. In the dim light of the glow stick he could see his blood on her mouth and something inside him snapped. The growl that came from him lit her every nerve on fire.
Mouths crashed together.
Teeth marked flesh.
Nails drawn along skin, leaving rivers of blood behind.
The scent of copper and iron thick in the air.
Hands tore at cloth.
Enveloped in heat.
Pierced by hot flesh.
Burning.
